Once you replace the battery, you can verify if the alternator is still working via a multimeter- with the car running, voltage at the battery terminals should at least be 14V+. Good luck...

well i thought about it too. so i tried a quick test. got the jump and then disconnected the positive terminal and the car was still running. so i figured it was the battery. got the battery on a slow charge for 24hrs and when i got it to my house, no start, do not pass go , do not collect two hundred dollars. . . realy though, ill be heading over to batteries plus, in henderson tommorow to pick up another oddessy, if i can find the part number. wanted to tell you all thanks for all the helpfull advice

I was just going to point this out. you "might" still want to drop by autozone and ask them to check your alternator out. just because its not dead doesn't mean its not broken.

Your system, if you listen like i do, will dramatically shorten the life of your car battery. Unless you use a dedicated capacitor for your amps. Its just one of those things you have to accept in replacing more than normal.

I hear ya there. I've used at least a 1.0 farad cap in all my cars except my tibby. Ironically the tiburon had the largest power consumption.... I just went with a yellowtop instead of a cap. Finding a cap that accepts a 0 guage wire gets asspensive.

I believe in my rsx I had a red top.. which then confused the **** out of me when It was killed.. bad battery though.. straight off the shelves of autozone.. it looked used when I picked it up but it was the last one at the time.. lame sauce.

^^^^^someone help this guy out.

on another note i got a hold of an odyssey battery , today. cost a mili. no realy though wasnt cheap. like 145+ at batteries plus. the kid in there kept looking at with a confused look because i told him my old battery a genesis, came out of my evo. i picked up a pc680 odyssey and said this is what i would like to buy, but he began to ask me about my vehicle info, and said he recommended some other battery. i felt like i was at a car lot where the salesmen keeps trying to shove a sale you dont want down your throat. i showed him a picture that i had in my camera of the mini battery installed and he finaly gave up. i got my battery, just have to put it in but im kinda tierd as i have been real busy on my ladies car. just got her a fixer upper. 95 accord, taking up alot of my time. now im just trying to sit back and relax, but i might go check out the new M resort and casino that opened near my house.

RC2099: Car looks good overall. Just need some more tire on them rims. Not a fan of the stretched look. I see it everyday over here.
