*FOR THE PEOPLE W/ THE OIL TEMP GAUGE QUESTION: Here is what the meter kit papers you get from the factory say...

The oil temperature gauge indicates the temperature of the engine oil in the oil pan.

When the ignition switch is set to "ACC" with cold engine (the engine oil should also be cold), pointer will indicate lower than 50 C.

When the warm-up has completed, it indicates approx. 60-80 C.

When driving in high speeds or driving up a steep slope, etc., the engine is operating under heavy load and the engine oil temperature will increase. [Reference: When driving at 100 km/h under 35 C (atmospheric temperature), the guage indicates approx. 90-110 C.]

When driving in rain or passing over a puddle, the indication may show drop quickly as the oil pan is cooled.

Edit:
50 C is 122 F
60-80 C is 140-176 F
100 km/h is 62 mph
35 C is 95 F
90-110 C is 194-230 F

I want to, but I'm going to restrain myself lol. I'm gonna get a new o2 housing and get this new mbc or a stiffer spring and push 30 psi. Since I'm trying to get on that list I'm trying to max out the potential of this stock turbo. I was advised I should net about 25 more hp with that 3 psi increase.

Wow thanks this is a big help! Now I understand the mitsu oil temp gauge the sensor replaces the drain plug and that makes sense, defi has you install the sensor with the oil filter w/ a special adapter, do you all think taking the readings directly from the filter could give me a high or inaccurate reading?

I imagine if you have your sensor on the filter it could read higher. The oil pan helps dissipate oil temperature a little bit with the air hitting it. Wonder when the oil goes through the cooler; before or after the filter?

hmm i would think it after the filter, then to the oil cooler then returned to the oil tank to get sent thru the engine. But there is a reason mitsu replaces the drain plug for the oil temp gauge, it has to be the best place to get a true reading from.

I would assume the reading is on the drain plug because thats the oil temps that are getting pumped through the engine. Anything after of course will be hotter, less it was filtered through the cooler already. So I agree with hydro ^^

So who does good details now? There was a guy with a lancer who was doing them right, but now he act is disabled or something?

Also anyone know a drive through car was that washes the under side of your car? I'm near green valley area.

Had a lot of fun at the Redline Time attack, but my car is not too pretty...

Stay away from every drive through car wash unless you like scratches/swirls.

I dont know of anyone who does good details in this town. All mostlikley will scratch it. I'de invest $40 and get the stuff to do it at home.

If you'de like links to what's needed, I can help.
