Just got back from Fernley. It's always so fun to run out there. I had a hell of a time getting a good launch with the cold weather making the tires rock hard... or maybe it's just my excuse for crappy driving. They are having a Sunday noon to 6pm drag racing there on 11/5.

I seriously wouldn't trust anyone in this city with my car. If I needed a clutch job I'd make a short vacation out of it to nor cal. You should just wait and see how well the stocker holds all the power. I bet if you don't launch it will hold for a while

My biggest concern is getting all the way down there and having slipping issues on the dyno ...seeing how I have it sitting on my floor right now

Nutrulz...Do you have a name of someone who knows anything that I should talk too? 'Cause I'll probably end up talking to the same guy I talked to on the phone...and how long ago did you get your clutch put in?

for the love of god please dont go to allison!!! they are the most incompetent and clueless group of people. first they tried to sell me wheel locks for a regular lancer, and then they told me I can't order an SE lip (which is bs), but I could buy the evo SE! WTF! This is after I told them I owned an evo. To top it all off they tried to tell me a lancer and evo windshield are the exact same, even though they have different part numbers and are made completly differently. And this is all from the parts manager....talk about ZERO knowledge.

I forgot the guys name. But there is only one service manager, and I have spoke to him alot. They know that I know alot more about my car than they do, and they rarely give me any problems. I'd never buy any parts from them as their prices are way too high. I've spoke to them many times about this, and they try to work me a deal when they can. I'd never trust a parts guy to tell you what goes on your car, that is your job. You come in with a part #, they order it, and give it to you.

Doug the toothless guy is who works on my car, and he is really good. Has been working on Mitsus a long time and owns a Dodge stealth. He has replaced my transmission, and replaced my clutch on 2 different occations with 100% great work.

They seem to also have a don't ask don't tell policy with my mods so I've never had any problems.

Since you are getting an aftermarket clutch, you have to know that they won't warranty the clutch and will give you **** about anything else that happens to your drive train at all after it is in. It's only fair, you are now exceeding factory specs.

Oh well....I just talked to Doug and he said the clutch is little too hard core, but would put in a high performance single disc. I really want them to do the work though, so I guess I'm going to have to sell it Any 1 want to buy a brand new Exedy HD twin disc clutch and flywheel? Asking $1400...
