I thought you were trying to keep your warranty? They're not voiding you for installing a high performance clutch?

 

The waranty doesn't work like that...if you put a part on your car that isn't factory spec and you have a problem they investigate to see if it was caused by the part...if it was then they can decline you. Modding your car under warranty is always a gamble

 

Yes and no. As long as they are part of the SEMA organation. They can't decline you, unless the part did cause the failure. Say your engine blows and you lowered your car and they say that your warranty was voided cause you lowered your car. They can't do that. SEMA will go to bat for you if you have a problem.

 

Speaking of SEMA, is anyone going this year?

You know they don't sell anything there, right? All you get is a butt load of free brochures and stickers. A few times we got some cool lanyards, like Cusco and Tein, but you can't purchase anything.

Well guys I got a reckless driving ticket late last night on seventh street. I was doing close to 60 in a 30 when a cop came up behind me out of nowhere and pulled me over, he didnt even radar me. He said I was driving "recklessly like a maniac and swerving all over" which wasn't true at all. I briefly swerved when I spilt a bottle of water everywhere but thats it. I believe I'm deserving of a speeding ticket but not reckless driving. Its my second offense (one speeding ticket 3 yrs. ago) so I'll be hiring an attorney to fight my case. Ironically my girl got rolled doing 115 in a 65 on I-80 a week ago and got away with a regular speeding ticket!!! To bad I'm not a hot chick with a nice set of hooters lol. Man I hate cops, Im so pissed. Hopefully I can get this think reduced or else I'm screwed.

They always stare at me in the new evo......They want to get me on something i can tell the look i get......screw em, i cant afford a ticket. You should be able to get it reduced to basic speed1 in which reckless is actually an arrestable offence, so he could have been a real dick..I try to cruise the speed limit downtown in my evo.......which by the way had the clutch go out last week......so i got Allison to install a new stock one.........Dave Allison made me a deal for me only paying 371 for the labor and the rest is on them since it was so early of a problem.......so now im verrrry gentle with it.
