Ah, I can see that being the case for the scatter shield, fireproof jacket and driveshaft loop... But otherwise...
All that stuff makes you legal to race in MPRA wheel-to-wheel, plus I think a few more pieces of safety equipment (I think you need a kill switch and a fire extinguisher).
All that stuff makes you legal to race in MPRA wheel-to-wheel, plus I think a few more pieces of safety equipment (I think you need a kill switch and a fire extinguisher). The main reason you can go faster at MMP with less safety equipment is the track is vasty safer to drive on. It has been designed with ample run off room and safety equipment.
None of that stuff is legal for road racing except maybe the harness if you get one that is certified. The kill switch needs to be installed within reach of a belted in driver, in drag racing the kill switch is mounted on the rear bumper for some reason? You'll need a full fire suit, socks, shoes, gloves, etc., and an SA rated helmet. Minimum 6 point roll cage with at least two door bars, drag cages also require bars in different locations than road race cages.
