right on, sounds like that is going to be beastly when it's all done. my car still has a ways to go. the exterior is going to be a mix of the old orange color, primer/body filler, oem black, and however my fenders came flat blackish. oh with white interior and red wheels. gonna be sooooo ugly. oh well haha i'll get to track it/shakedown and make it pretty for the next event. i don't know the weight right now, but i will before saturday when i corner balance it.
Looks don't mater to much on functional race cars
Oh and when may car goes out it will be the yellow on the doors back and the front end will be multiple colors as well

I may or may not make it out this weekend, but I should know after tomorrow if I am going to be at the track or out at the sand dunes
I have 3 cars and my truck. Truck is the only one with no issues what so ever and is together. My Daily BMW M3 is running just fine just missing a few parts off of the front end currently
The Evo has no motor in it currently while it is getting built and then the 4 door M3 shell I have that I need to do something with

I think I will be somewhere in the middle of you two
mid power and mid chassis setup and suspension of both cars with some, but not all the interior
My Motor is at the Machine Shop today with the custom new Torque plate made just for it so my motor is the first for it
Should have it all done and balanced up next week
vehicle wraps in utah

i know "google is your friend" but i have searched and it seems more for advertising.

I'm not sure the purpose of w(rapping) other than advertising.
Even though glues have significantly improved, even clear bra hasn't done service to the paint, unless at the end a pro shop has cleaned up the interface afterwards. They usually have to use something akin to a clear coat softener, and reform the optical surface (aka shiny).
Plus, you can tear and put impressions in vinyl.
I've just not found anything better over the long term than a front end clear bra (and thin at that) and a savings account for a new paint job, that I put like 25 to 50 bucks a month into.

Hi guys, I know I haven't posted in a while. I am here to see if I could get some help. I had an engine completely built from the ground up. It has just been sitting on the engine stand. What i'm trying to get at, I need some help putting it in. I know nothing but have lots of tools and time. I really only need someone to come help me and m brother in law put this together. I am willing to pay 1000 bucks to get this done. Or if you want, you can swap me your stock engine in good condition and put mine in yours. i'm willing to work something out.call me for more details. 801 837 1770
Nah, that certainly is a plus of the GTI though. Mostly VW Southtown was doing crazy deals over the weekend for the end of the month + getting rid of 2012s. So they suckered me in to buying a car under warranty with free maintenance.
Really the main negative of the MINI was freaking Mini of Murray being the only one for miles around and the service there being pretty bad... The 2 week wait for service for my CEL was what got me started looking around for any good deals on any of the cars I would want. Just turns out the MINI's direct competitor won that race. I do miss the "MINIness" of the MINI and that it was closer to being paid off than this. But this is "normal" sized and has much more standard creature comforts that make sense in this day and age that the 2007 MINIs just didn't have. It's basically the same car though, bit bigger, bit more power, feels like it would handle much better if it had the equivalent tires on it. The stability/traction control system on it is what you would expect from a lightweight hot hatch... There's no understeer and it negotiates torque steer very well.
Plus, yeah, this can fit 4 people comfortably and a decent bit of stuff in the trunk. It even has a spare.
