Sounds like a story, do tell!
Mostly been lurking in the VWvortex forums, posted a thread asking about the tint help. There's another thread about EURO SL,UT fest that has some trolly-ness going on it it. Just a bunch of people acting like children, mostly.
But any car group that bases "coolness" around how "slammed" your car is... Isn't the crew for me.... It's too bad too. Because I really do love my GTI. Lol. Best car crowds have always been S2k, Evo, MINI.

It isn't, and won't be.. ever. 
Nor will there be any tire stretching. It already handles just fine for a daily driver. No dropping here. If anything one day I may chip/TBE it... But I doubt that'll be anytime in even the remotely near future. For now, just getting it over the MINI was a "mod" enough.

Hey sorry it took me a while to reply. It is missing the 2 white mounting tabs on the Passenger side and there is a hole from it being help on by a Zip tie. Race car fix lol. Let me know if you are still interested and I can shoot you over a few pictures if you want
On a Side not are there any locals interested in some Cheap Cat back exhaust and a Helix Down Pipe? I don't want to deal with shipping these as they are big one piece welded cheap exhaust. One has a Magnaflow Muffler and the other is a CF Titanium tip looking muffler. The CF one has 2.5" piping and the Mangnaflow one has 3" piping. I have a track and can help get it to you if someone wanted them.

I drove my friends New 4 door GTI and I have to be honest. It is one VW I would drive Fun, nice and very sporty I would agree that most of them don't care for actual Driving

The BMW CCA used to be a pretty decent club. It was all older guys with old 2002s, E30 M3's. and more vintage BMW's. I haven't been involved with them for a few years so I am not sure what has changed.
You're allowed 43% in the front that's it. I used to have a guy when I had my limo tint but he doesn't work there anymore.

Though what's funny is it isn't even for me. I'm going legal this time just to avoid this headache. But a friend has a car she bought that she didn't know the tint was illegal in the front and she'd rather not have to get it peeled off.
And yeah Dallin, the whole car feels really great minus the ****ty stock tires. Go on TireRack and look at the all-season category that the Continental DWS are in (you know, the really awesome all-seasons)... The stock tires for this are the Dunlops near the very bottom of the page...

The DWS's are a awesome tire for sure
