Hey guys,
I need a cv axle boot changed out on my 2010 evo x. I read that the whole cv axle must be removed to replace the boot. I really don't feel comfortable doing it. So if any of you have done it, I would like to pay you to do mine. Just please pm me how much you would charge to replace the boot (outside boot on passenger side) and I will already have the oem replacement boot. Thank you!

I had to replace 2 boots on my white Evo 8 and they honestly where not that bad. First time too and only took about a hour and a half to do. If the Evo X is teh same Evo 8 and I think it is it shouldn't be to bad honestly. Remove wheel, remove the big castle nut, remove bolt holding the lower control arm onto the hub assembly and then you should be able to remove the axle from the hub and then from the transfer case. I believe that is all it take. Maybe someone who has done it on a Evo X can chime in as I am going off of memory form a year ago with a Evo 8 Hope that helps though.

I did the Dirty Dash and had so much fun! I'll Try to get some pictures up soon as well I heard that there was around 20k people participating in the Dirty Dash

Sucks you missed it and I know how a ruptured coolant like is Happened on my White Evo 8 on the way home from a photo shoot Upper line had just a smallest pin hole in it and lost over a gallon of coolant. Luckily it was close enough to the edge of the hose that I cut it off and the hose would still reach and work. Just added some water and was good to go

Happy Birthday by the way

Went to put in my walbro fuel pump, snapped 3 of the 6 rusted nuts to get the pump out. Waiting to get the last, stripped nut, drilled out tomorrow Anyone know if the bolts are drilled in from underneath?

Thanks! Although this picture was taken before I smashed the front lip into two pieces on my third (?) run. And I still lost to Tyler in the white STI by 0.08 seconds. Time to start buying more go-fast parts, I suppose.

That was a fun, but challenging course. Were you in the #007 car? I'll have to come check it out at the next event.

Yeah, that was me. I only get down to the 2 miller events every year, but I will be back in spring. How long have you been auto-xing? I don't know what kind of times you were running, but I think you can beat that white STI. Seat time should take care of that gap. I'm thinking about coming down for evo school next year if I have enough money after buying an enclosed trailer and new r-comps.

PS - If you haven't already, ask Kevin Shultz (burgundy miata) to give you an instructional run in your car. You will learn more about the capabilities of your car and driving skill in that one run than you will driving for a year.

Well next time you drive down for an AutoX I'll come say hello. This is my second year of AutoX, and I've managed to keep the Evo fully stock (other than wheels/tires) until now. The STI driver is pretty good these days, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and install some parts and get a tune so we're even again.

Kevin has been helpful from the start. He definitely knows his stuff.
