Zach brings up a good point about heat, I don't know if I'd be brave enough to run a full power tune on a road course for long periods of time.

all the plugs looked very normal, i put in a cosworth head gasket and arp head studs. went out for a test session saturday and still having the same damn issue i ordered a 25psi radiator cap today, the one i have now is 18 which should be enough, but idk. it seems like the bottom part of the cap isn't sealing very well, possibly, but i measured the piece (csr in line radiator fill) and it seems to be in spec with standard size radiator caps. going to try this higher pressure one and see what happens.

oh yeah, i also measured the stock head bolts, and they were still well under what the FSM says is too stretched to reuse. so likely, i wasn't having any head gasket/lifting issues after all.

nope, tested the thermostat and it opens normally and fully.
