AZ smog testing proceedures?

i did a quick search and am surprised i didn't find the info i'm looking for:

what is the actual process of smogging in the metro parts of AZ? i'm considering a move and am curious.

i currently live in CA where we can't really do ANYTHING and would like to know what i can get away with elsewhere.

this state SUCKS.

Az is a breeze! Just drove up. They plug into your OBDII, and as long as you arent throwing codes....all good.

how strangley common sense LOL. i actually hear CA is supposed to go that route, but i don't see that EVER happening. not without one hell of a visual check, that is.

we are failed for anything. wrong-colored vacuum lines, things that don't "look" OEM. not the case in AZ?

I have no issues here key is using the OBD2 only lane. They basically plug in the car and thats it never looked for cats never even opened my hood. Make sure the car will check out per the OBD2 port and you will be fine

Yay for Tephra and the patches. I got mine to pass everything but the rear O2 readiness. I'm sure I could figure that out. Awesome, thank you.
Oh, is this statewide, metro, or just c varies?

I think they're supposed to look for having all emissions equipment installed but as others have stated, this often doesn't happen.
