He was probably breaking in the car still, I've seen a few MRs and none of them have been hauling very fast....I think all of them around here are still crisp and new

 

yeah, i bet the one you saw is the guy i know. he only has 490 miles on it and is still breaking it in. if it was apex silver it prob was him.

Tech question.... can water come out where the exhaust manifold bolts to the head? i went to start the car today and there looked like there was water coming out around the gasket on the exhaust manifold. it went away as the manifold got hot. only thing i can think of is that i washed the car yesterday night and some water got in there via the hood vent. at least that's what i hope. anything else it could be?

 

no it's not that they don't know anything but that they are crooks. never trust the dealer when they tell you your car needs something that they are gonna charge you for. well unless your car doesn't run.

btw, thanks for bringing me breakfast/lunch/dinner last night. thats all i had all day. i was about to pass out right b4 i ate it.

almost done. the car is making a weird noice. well really not that weird but i think the exhaust is rattling on something. well at least i hope that's all it is.

things left to be done are... mbc install, dynoflash, cf hood, wheels and tires. wheels are special ordered out of japan...17x10 enkei rpf1. should be here end of feb. already have 8 hoosiers ready for it compliments of charlie. oh also need to get it clearbraed b4 i hit the track. otherwise i think that's it. well i hope that is. i'm sure there are littl things here and there but for the most part all the big things are done. i know i won't be spending till 3 or 4 in the morn at the shop anymore. well at least for awhile.

 

Anyone go through a drive through car wash and have their car be a little steam train for awhile? It's funny, or even when it's raining really hard outside

it was weird when i first saw it cause it looked like it was blowing out from there so i revved the motor to see if it would push it anymore but it didn't. i think it was just boiling from the heat and about 2 mins. later it was gone. my fist thought was that i had a cracked head or the headgasket was leaking but then it shouldn't do it there if it was.

Clearbra good, I got mine done a little bit after I got my car, expensive stuff but after the two or three dings I got in my hood I am happy I got it on. Now I just get all the dings in my windshield, its like someone washed my windshield with sand there’s so many knicks.
