And just keep the stock body and make your car look that clean. JDM factory parts yo oh and PS I want to get JRZ suspension now so if you want some BC Racing coilovers I have a set I will sell you that have less than 3k miles on them. Hit me up I have Luis considering them too.

 

That actually is the best looking evo I've seen with the CWest bumper but I agree on sticking with the stock bumper. Although, did anyone go to SIN car show and see that silver evo with the ARC UICP? I like the lip that it had but can't seem to find that anywhere on the net. I wish now I took a pic of it but owell.

+1 Eric don't get no funky *** side skirts man and get the bc racing coilovers there pretty damn cheap and I haven't heard anything bad with them, remmeber I was showing you before. Now personally I wouldn't put them on my car but if I had to budget them I would probably snag em up...thank god I've already got some cuz I don't wanna spend anymore $ right now that I don't have

Hi there local Evo dudes, I'm usually just a lurker but I did meet a few of you on a drive up Provo canyon this spring. Anyway, I'm admittedly a newb so I apologize for this totally basic question. I figured I could get some good local advice and help, so Thanks!! My EvoVIII is stock except for a BR air filter and Defi Boost gauge and I just turned 80K miles. I'm in dire need of testing/fixing some boost leaks. I found a write up on making the leak tester. So I can take care of that easy enough. I'm expecting that my stock (plastic) BOV is probably leaking and I am planning on just replacing it with a metal JDM MR one. My main question is about the throttlebody shaft seals. I've heard those are prone to leaking. Have any of you had leaks at the throttle body? How difficult is it to change those seals? Do any of you have a link or part # for the seals and know where I can get them if I need to? I assume that if I have any leaks at the intercooler piping I can just tighten the clamps? Anything else to do with the intercooler piping? Anything else I should be looking for? What about the injectors?

I live up in Syracuse and I know there are a few guys around Layton/Ogden. Anyone feel like giving a newb a hand?

also, if anyone wants to trade exhausts, i have an ams exhaust that fits the jdm ix rear bumper as well as the stock rear bumper.

i am looking for an ultra light exhaust, so i will trade straight up for a buschur exhaust, or trade plus some $$ for a ti exhaust like greddy or something

 

The old 5Zigen I had on my first evo only weighed like 12 lbs. Just a thought.

 

Ya thats fine but you have to save up and buy my BC's off me I need a much more aggressive suspension setup for my car now. Its not going to be a DD so I am going to go all out. I have been looking at Evo X'S now and I want one sooo bad for a DD. If I can still get a house and don't need to sell the 4 I may still think about it to only get a X. No trading anymore for a another 8 or 9.
