Dumb question #1. How long should an ACT clutch last? Mine slipped last night in 3rd. Ive only launched the car 5-6 times over 3 years and I don't race it. Question #2 If I get an Exedy twin how is it for a DD?
I hate driving in rush hour traffic with mine. It is seriously worse than trying to drive a Duece and half. Every semi I have driven has had a easier clutch, but I knew it was going to be like that when I bought it. atleast its stronger than stock. I have yet to have problems with mine, but there is only like 15k on it. Love the pro-lite flywhell too. Noticed alot of improve throttle response and power to the wheels after I installed that, the intake and TBE.
Also, I might be wrong, but I think your going to have to deal with alot of chatter if you go with a twin-plate

Ive looked at the ACT website and a replacement disc is cheap. And are discs interchangeable? I think i might go that route but i don't know. Can i resurface a street-lite flywheel? Stupid Car
chatter isn't too bad at all my last twin plate was a lil worse. Good to go for rebuildable, now when I dropped in my motor my last one was super hammered so I just got a new one

so would a good used exedy be ok if i were to rebuild it? and would i also need a new flywheel or can i use ACT street-lite? BTW thanks for the reply

Yep, Wes' clutch is the best feeling clutch I've ever felt. Not too hard to push or hold in, but nice and beefy too. And the engage point on Wes' car is great. I imagine launching that car is fun as hell, and pretty easy too. Shifting fast is sure easy.
Also Eric, you made me lol for real with the unemployement comment.
And Nelson: you're way too bitter
Dallin: Nicely done, hope you sell the 8 just fine and get back on track so you can get your IV back, so that I can continue to say how awesome the seats are
And I haven't had problems with girls' dads forever, either they thought the S2k was cool, they thought the Evo was cool, or they thought the Porsche is/was cool. As long as their first question isn't "So, you like football?" I'm good. And to avoid that I just have to make sure the girls say something about me and car racing/my car/whatever. I may not use the car to pick up girls, but it sure works on their dads
Especially when they ask if it really is mine and if I bought it
Haha.

Ya Ryan wanted to help me out so I sold it to him for cheap so I could buy it back (in the spring time hopefully) when I get some cash coming in again...
