Well, my work just had a layoff I'll be awaiting my fate when I go in at 3pm. I been thinking if I do get hit, that I might consider the air force, there really aren't any cnc machinist jobs left (just checked monster and careerbuilder)

Thats a bummer man I was unemployed for a long time... I think I was the first one to go unemployed on here back in August then Wes back in I think October, and I think there is someone else to other than Eric last month. But ya Join the Evo Jobless owners club I have a part time Job Working from home so I still make a little $$$$ but I think I am going to Try to Trade my Evo for a Cheaper Evo or sell mine and get a RS I'm wanting to Join the Club WES

Dammit, why isn't Subaru having a hard time selling the STi!!!!! A X would be tempting, but for the small trunk and the whole Mitsubishi thing. 0% financing is insane, I hate the fact that I financed ~16k on my car, and am really going to wind up paying like 20k or so... 6.25% interest compared to 0% is crazy. I could've financed almost 20k and pay the same monthly as I do now. And not be throwing money to anyone but paying for my car.

Thanks I'll need as much luck as I can get right now. The guy that came up with me in the yellow wingless evo on saturday was laid off, so was my buddy that has the silver 03. We all work there together. Trevor's (yellow evo) brother in the white IX lucked out and still has his job as a welder.

 

I may just be joining this elite club soon

They actually are paying out the rest of our pay period and also the rest of our personal hours which is about 3 weeks worth of pay. So most people will be good for the rest of next month then unemployment will kick in april.

Guess I'll think twice about the USAF then.

 

If you get serious, you, your girl, and I can sit down and talk about it. I will be completely forth coming and not fill your head with the BS that a recruiter will feed you. If need be, I can go with you to the recruiter and act as a mediator so they dont screw you and will know whats true and whats not.

I wish I would have joined the Marines. My job is not as Chair Force as the rest of the AF, I mean we pull security on convoys and do patrols and **** in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are one of the few aside from Spec Ops that can go to all the Army schools like sniper, Ranger, jump school, etc. I'm qualified on the M9 Barretta, M-4, and M-249, M240B, 50 cal machine guns, where as MOST of the AF qualifies on only the M-16 and only fire maybe once per year. If I could just spend the rest of my career operating out of a FOB or be assigned to an Army unit, then I would be in heaven cuz I wouldnt be dealing with the politics of the real AF. That is one of the big reasons I am retraining into an elite field. EOD tech school is the 3rd toughest school in the entire US military. (Plus I would get to play with **** that makes a really big boom.)

Bottomline, I hate my current day 2 day job and would rather be in the desert, where atleast I can get away from the BS.

But job security FTW!

Ya I have a friend in sniper camp for the Marines right now since he was a marks man doing shooting in competitions when he was growing up. He is crazy good and he got a Barrett .50 cal for Christmas and he got a Dragunov Rifle for his Bday back in the Fall we shot that one Just waiting for him to get back to go shoot the .50 I have been kinda looking into getting a gun and I think I am going to get a MP5 for fun to shoot a few friends have Some AK and ARs. Also looking at getting a hand gun. But Will see. I need the money first.

Oh and JAKE Just get the X is much bigger trunk space than your Porsche And just get a roof rack too

ken garff is already pissing me off. my car has been sitting there since 3pm yesterday, so i call just barely and ask what the status is. sjhe says "well we haven;t had a chance to look at it and get it written up" ITS BEEN SITTING THERE FOR 24 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how long does it take to go look at the car and write down how much it'll cost
