Wow Eric, that's going above and beyond. Does he have XP installed on his computer? Or did he use that to upgrade to Vista? Or is the computer that used that disc dead and gone?

And thanks Ryan... A friend told me I can use his and just tell Microsoft I did another install because of a new motherboard or something like that, and then it will trick it into letting me use it. Dunno. I'd buy a copy buy I'm not gonna spend 100 dollars for something I want in order to run like 3 things. Wish Mac would come out with a way to run .exe files or something. But that would rock the world, so oh well. It isn't a huge deal either, I have my gaming desktop at home, but the way I am, I take my laptop everywhere I go, so it'd be nice to know that it could do anything I needed it to (like.. play a game between classes) rather than... well... not.

Well I just found out why XP can't be found hardly anywhere anymore for sale new... Microsoft is adding a "downgrade" surcharge to it in order to try to get more people to use Vista. Yeah, I'll buy Vista... When it costs 99 dollars like XP did.

On the bright side, Leopard OS runs amazingly, and even checks for updates for EVERYTHING Apple/hardware/pre-installed software related (and maybe even more). For example, the other day Apple Update Manager told me my Java was out of date, and updated it for me. wtfomgbbq! My Vista desktop won't even tell me when a new driver is out for hardware, let alone software updates BUT, it can run Windows programs

My computer updates everything for me too, but I think that's more of a function of the software that came with it over Windows.

I may have an extra copy of XP you could take, I gave most of them away but probably still have some collecting dust somewhere, I'll let you know.
