You can dial a MBC in. With the change in temps and altitude your boost levels can change. They can go up and down. With a MBC you can turn it up if you want to run race gas and such. There are alot of advantages to having control over your boost.

It'll still have a bit of taper, and won't hit the top quite as fast...for 70-120 bucks, it's supposed to be a good buy...I don't have a choice, and I'll be getting the flash without one...so I guess we'll see
...and some people (ok, most people) like to crank the boost up higher than stock..like ~20-22psi

The boost taper won't be bad after a Dynoflash. My buddies tapered about 2 pounds with the Dynoflash mail in. After a Hallman MBC, it only tapers about .5 psi at redline. The reflash does help quite a bit though.
I only taper about 2 lbs of boost now...most of the time, except those crazy few occasions where I taper like 5-6 lbs...and then there's times where I barely taper at all...one time I hit 21 and it held it all the way through
Yeah listen to Scott, he rules.
So I looked at the cam install in the service manual. Wow. I see why Ray was scared at first. You don't need to remove the valve springs and stuff like that do you? What about the 3M adhesive they say to use, is it just RTV? What special tools to you need? Anyway I plan on coming up and watching next weekend if that is ok.
Ray, how was the headstud install? Should I wait to do it with the cams? Is the valve cover gasket good enough to re-use a few times?

Hey ray I have been looking at tires and wanted you expertise.
I am looking at the
Pirelli PZero Corsa
Kumho MX
Falkin Azenis
I am thinking that the Corsa might be a little to soft for daily driving.
I am leaning toward the MXs but want to see what you think since you deal with this all the time
