Yeah I need to find a stock evo to run lol. I just always need to go faster.

I'm going to get 272's and a bigger turbo around next year , I just wanted the most out of this turbo as I could.

And again Im not trying to bash Erich
I got tuned by him a little over a month ago? Best word to describe the tune is 'solid'. Instead of a quick burst then slowing down, now it has a nice smooth boost build up and stays there. Feels quicker to me also.

You could have two exact cars with same mods and one might make more power then the other one each car is different and if you wanted to squeeze a pound or two extra out then why didn't you say something? Your right we are not at sea level and a dyno would've shown you baseline pull vs tuned pull. My car tuned in Vegas coming to Slc yea it didn't feel as good as it did down there, closer to sea level the better any of our cars are going to run. I wasn't thinking you were trying to bash anyone at all so don't think I'm coming across that way. Some 272's would be awesome and there's nothing wrong with your evo 9 turbo

You do get used to your car and cars power, if your like me then you want more and more don't drive your car for a few weeks then drive it again

I asked him why we were still at stock boost and he said we shouldn't go above 20 psi because of the super awesome 91 octane? But then again I have heard of 24psi in colorado (higher elevation) and 91. He made 330 whp with the boost tapering down to 19-20 psi at redline . But I know there are too many variables to say my car would do the same.

Then again my last car weighed 2400 lbs and had a T60-1 on it lol. So I shouldnt be expecting the same from this pig.

I threw a mbc on sams car

My car on a Dynojet tuned by AMS sept 07 with stock injectors a pump, bolt ons and evo 8 turbo 1.6bars was 360whp

Sam has a evo 8 turbo 9.8 hotside

If you want to run a lil more boost 21-22psi would be just fine..email ficker and he'll help you if you talk to him and get some logs over email and reflash your car a lil

I will do that. Thanks for helping me out guys. Im glad to get feedback. I will stop shooting for stars with a pretty much stock car. Being in school im super poor at the moment so I will just appreciate having a reliable car that whoops on 90% of the cars out there lol.

Boost is different with every car. My tuner wasn't seeing any knock during my session so he allowed me to go up to 24lbs with no problem.

Cams do a lot on a Evo and your stock turbo is good for mid to high 300's whp Really don't need a turbo upgrade unless you want more than 400. If you want more than 400 and up to 450 I would go with a FP green and E85 Fuel on any turbo car if you have it available in your area. If you want anything more than 450 and up to 550whp I would deff go with a FP Red but those can be later down the road
