I keep thinking about it, and then, changing my mind, and then thinking about it again... I don't want to drive all the way to Spring Mountain, but I might end up being up for Wendover... if you're not gonna be back till late Friday, when would we leave? Early Saturday? Kinda using the forum to talk... but that's cool

 

ps Since I have to be here through Fri afternoon for meetings, I could just catch a flight to Vegas and you could pick me up there on Fri evening ... so you'd have to make the drive down by your lonesome.

... although three of the SCCA guys are leaving Fri morning at 9 AM so you could just caravan down with them. That would make it a caravan of two Minis, a Lotus Elise and and Evo.

 

Yeah, if you want to do the Wendover thing we could leave early Sat. Or if you want we could skip the tnt and just go out on Sat night for the Sun Solo2 event.

 

Hmmm ... maybe I'll catch a flight to Vegas anyway and just rent a Forrester.

 

And what if no one has a jack that will work when we get to Spring Mountain? If there's a caravan, I might be up for that... but... the brake pads too!!! I'll call Ray tomorrow and talk to him, if he's not gonna have time to help me do the pads, I'll call Modern and see if maybe they can do them for me real fast or something... I dunno, last minute decisions seem to be our skill. It never had anything to do with me going by my lonesome or not, it had to do with not having other cars to follow, it makes the drive too tiring if I can't stare at someone's backside... but would you have fun just riding and watching?

 

Yeah, I'd have a great time riding with you and watching. I'm sure someone will have a jack you can borrow. Is Robi still going? I imagine he has one. Even if he doesn't ... I'm pretty sure the Radicals are a little lower than your Evo, so getting a jack should be a no brainer.

Same issue with helmets, but we can figure that out too. It's totally up to you.

I need to swap my tires and rims anyway, so I might as well... then the only problem are the brake pads... and, should we have Modern change out the oil again like last time, or is the 10w30 Mobil 1 gonna be just fine?

hehe ... what's the fun of letting somebody else do the pad change? ... its one of the those "ooh, ooh, ooh, hot, hot, hot pad, hot pad" moments ... priceless.

The reason I ask about Odgen area is I'm from here up in Logan. Your meets sound like a riot, but a 3 hr. total drive there and back again on short notice kinda takes the wind out of my sails with a full time job, and classes right now. Plus the drive can be slightly annoying, because "Sardine" or whatever you want to call it canyon is also pretty cop infested place for a 4-lane highway.

When March hits, I usually try to plan the weather, and ride down to SLC on my bike if I don't have to transport anybody, so the EVO is pretty much an inbred Loganite right now. I think she's Mormon.

Anyways ... GL with going to Wendover, and enjoy the good times on four wheels there.

or you could learn about your car, change the oil and then change the pads and then save yourself some money
