Doing what? S4 modded at all? My guess would be you, but I'm not sure by how much and it would depend on the drivers and everything too. On a track, you for sure, that's a given. Drag race though... Not sure. I'd still be inclined to say you though.
How much is it to replace the t-case?

the evo 8 will have intake, full i/c pipng, evo 9 bov, 3" TBE, 272's w/camgears, walbro, 720cc, MBC, tune... the S4 has K04's, 2.5" Dual TBE, and all supporting mods. I'm tryn to find out which is the better car all around. Track, Drag Strip, Daily Driver etc. And i would like to know if i have a chance at winning the S4 or losing horribly..

The evo should beat out the s4 in anything but a DD

and evo's will whine in first gear cause that gear is straight cut

There ya go. 7 months, nearly 11,000 miles. Big difference in testing reliability of the car. That isn't to say that Jason's is going to break by any means. Just that using him as a sole example is like using that guy who is racing the AMS Evo X as an example of Evo X reliability, and Wes and I have talked all about that.

I'm certainly not arguing that the STi or the BMWs Wes is talking about are any more reliable though.

All gears, including neutral, as long as the car is moving. Louder as you go faster.

Now see, you're a more valid example. I'm sure you put a more normal number of miles on the car per month, plus you have all the autocrossing you do. And you certainly don't have "minor" mods either.

TC I think is about 2k to replace? I don't really remember, I know I got the basic rebuilt one from TRE, and sent back my core and got back a decent bit of money. 2k or less I would guess, IIRC... Just go to Shep or TRE's sites and check it out. Then it's just labor and shipping.

Agree, and what Timmay said about first is true... Also true for Reverse as well.

i think i did 10+ autox events, 25+ passes down the track and car was my DD up untill a few months ago.

i think ive put over 10k this year so far on mine making 400awhp

Well looks like I'll probably going to start stripping the evo sunday/monday. I'll prob post ads up for everything aftermarket I have from coilovers, trans, tc, to gauges etc. It's not going to be getting an m5 but it'll be a 99 M3 I cant pass up mods on that car to follow will be lowering, intake,exhaust, software This finacially will be awesome for me hehe

If only I had money I'd say dibs on Wideband gauge at least... But I think someone else on here wanted one anyway.

Good luck with the sell of everything Wes. 99 M3 will be sick.

you should look into a turbo kit for it! sorry ta hear ur gettin rid of the evo...

Im debating on buyin the s4 or just keepin the evo...
