Ouch dude, that's a major bummer! Was it that white one they had downtown for awhile?

Solid FTW. I'll be going there for stuff soon I'm sure. I've got discounts at the dealer I bought the car from first though. They did all my work on the Evo once they got started.

I don't blame him, I wanted another Evo after my Porsche. And just my luck I couldn't find any decent IXs at the time so I decided to give the newer models a chance. And happened to find a great combo of the Evo and the Porsche

Matter o' fact, I'm driving down to Vegas tomorrow and for the first time since the S2000 I don't dread it. It won't be a PITA like it was the many times I did it in the Evo, and I won't be concerned about putting miles on the car like I was the Porsche... God I'm glad I got rid of that thing before 60k miles... Value drops like a rock and the service is around 2k... Great car, but not that great.

Yeah, that makes it rough. It's what I did with the Porsche too. Had I stepped back and waited a bit I probably would've kept the Evo and been much happier and debt free now. Either that or had the Evo to trade in when 2008 STis were discounted 7k with 0% financing.

Don't remember that post at all. backcountry.com is a good place for stuff too. I bought my board and bindings from them year before last year and got a killer deal. The bindings and the board were that year's stuff and I got them less than stuff at a few other shops I went to's year before's stuff. That sounds complicated. Point is I found the perfect stuff that I couldn't find anywhere else and got a killer deal on it.

I should try and sell some of my old boots... So I can try once again to find the perfect pair.

The worst sound your Evo can make When the gears get worn out in the tc from whatever means, it starts making a loud whining/howling noise. It is SUPER annoying, and also means you're going to have to spend a lot of money very soon. It is basically the sound the tc makes when it is about to die. Most fail from people beating the snot out of their drivetrain, mine failed because the dealer put the wrong fluid in it, and there are a few other reasons they fail.

Doing what? S4 modded at all? My guess would be you, but I'm not sure by how much and it would depend on the drivers and everything too. On a track, you for sure, that's a given. Drag race though... Not sure. I'd still be inclined to say you though.

No **** I agree Josh

If I were to keep the evo I was going to ditch the acd and convert my t-case to mechanical it would be a 30lb saving on weight too

I dont know Jasons Evo is fast as hell and its damn reliable with no problems

Molded to your feet eh? How do they do that? My problem is my boots are always too narrow in some places and too loose in others. For the longest time I actually had women's boots because they fit the narrow parts of my feet better... But the height of my feet is too big, so they would dig into the top of my feet. So I got men's boots awhile back, and they are more comfortable, but don't fit my toes and ankle as snug as I want... PITA coming from skiing for almost your whole life and being used to super tight comfy boots and trying to find decent snowboard boots. I don't like my foot to move around at all in my boots. And these ones my ankle comes up a decent bit when I go toe-side. But I can handle my ankle coming up more than I can handle not being able to feel my toes at the end of the day, so I just settle for the Ride's that I have.

I'll give you that it is fast... But how long has it been running and driven around for since it was purchased? Downtime is downtime, whether the car is broken or just being modded doesn't matter. On top of that, how long has it been driven in the state it is in now?

And on top of all that, Jason kinda knows what he is doing and has his own shop to do everything to his car in. That makes a huge difference. If I had a shop and knew how to work on Porsche's I'd have kept the C4.

Well that was kinda my point if you know what your doing there pretty damn bullet proof. As for down time its all up to what you want and how well you know what your doing, of course. Dont have a shop most people dont thats what garages are for. Or thats when you have a good friend with one of the two please

2800 miles, 7 months with only 1 week of down time, and that was because the wastegate blew off the turbine housing.
