my bad on misspelling Cortney's name. Basically trying not NOT be a name dropper, since I don't know the guy (obviously). Thanks for the correction.

Whats this I hear about someone out here being able to tune our cars? I've been reading up on it for a while because I've been gearing up to take the plunge. A few years ago, I got a REALLY sweet deal on the cobb accessport, so thats what I'm using for now. If anyone around here is tuning, I'd really love to know about it as I'd like to either pick their brain, or perhaps make it worth their while to tune mine.

Ummm....yah what do you say to that comment. Here is my response:

"sir, you have a poor understanding of the calculation of horsepower and torque"

There it is :-).

They are related and therefor stupid to say you have tq, while I have up top power. A larger displacement motor, assuming both are rev'd to the same RPM, and being fed an area of air equal to there volume of displacement, will make more power everywhere. Down low, in the mid range, and yes its true UP TOP TOO.

Sorry Weston_843 if I am being a little blunt, just don't want some of the other guys on the forum who don't know much to think your comment has any sort of substance.

Please don't take offense to my comment.

Bigger displacement, more stuff to spool up a bigger turbo, more power

I believe his line of thought is the 2.0 liter will out rev the 2.3. The 15% difference in displacement equates to a 15% increase in RPM to move the same amount of air. So, all being equal... a 2.3 running at 8500 rpm moves the same air as a 2.0 at 9775 rpm. However, the loss of volumetric efficiency as RPM goes up hasn't been discussed. Placing the equivalent rpm needs of the 2.3 closer to 8000 when compared to a 10,000 rpm 2.0 liter. Needless to say, my 2.33 liter spins faster than 8000 rpm.

There has also been a lack of discussion regarding a plan to re-gear the car to properly take advantage of narrowing the power-band. Nor the extra power needed to compress the massive valve springs necessary to safely reach the 10k mark. Needless to say, a 10K blip would sound amazing to the ladies.

Haha A TT Vette would be fun but I still think A Evo is a better car to have over a vette I beet a New ZO6 with 3 people in my car A Vette can't do that
