Hey Rob, that isn't the gt-42r that AMS is developing for the Evo, is it?

Nope, that's just a comparison a guy on honda-tech posted. I didn't know that AMS was working on a gt-42 setup. I know that RNR is. But if AMS is, it's news to me.

Well now, I didn't know that RNR was developing one too. I've seen a few rumors on an AMS setup, who knows when it'll be out though. Still, thats a huge turbo for a little 2.0 liter.

RnR will be running their gt-42 on a 2.4 liter. I've seen nothing to suggest that AMS is developing a "kit" using a gt-42, and I find it doubtful considering that they still haven't released the kit that is a step up from the gt-35rl. I know what combination they ran on their car when they ran 10.11 and it was using a turbo that is a considerable amount smaller than the gt-42. The gt-42 will require that you get rid of the stock radiator and go to a smaller side mount radiator which a lot of the honda guys are running. Here is a picture of a t-70 turbo set up on an evo. The other attachment is a line up of a t-67, gt-40, t-70(turbo on the car pictured) and a gt-42. You'll notice that the gt-42 is a fair amount larger than the t-70 which is a larger turbo than what AMS used to run their 10.11 pass.

Like I said, I've just heard rumors of something being developed...

What turbo was AMS running when they did their 10.11 pass? I thought it was the gt35r, but I'm not sure.

Hell yeah man!!!!!! That is dope.

Now I just need to figure out why I can only hit 13.56 which cams and tune when i hit 13.57 last year

I have a feeling it is the clutch. And a big turbo would help

Or maybe my heavy wheels ?!?

That's cool, I didn't know that they'd even experimented with it. I don't think that Martin wants everyone to know what turbo exactly he's running. I stumbled across the info. on a private tech board. It wasn't a gt-35r. The gt-35r will not flow enough air for 711whp. The turbo set up they've been experimenting with for the past little while will more than likely make it into a couple different evo's here in Utah in the next little while

Is the gt35r that they sell on their website modified? The compressor maps I've seen show it maxing out around 60lbs/min., which doesn't support the 775 hp they claim on their website. I seem to remember them calling it the gt35rl, which is the turbo on the 600+whp Evo that has been terrorizing Florida lately.

My map is built for 93 octane. So when i drive the car hard I throw in a little 104 and am good to go. I was planning on turning the boost up a little bit but forgot my laptop(done through UTEC) So I had alot of race gas go to waste

Ben

P.S Zach what time were you running sotck turbo with cams??
