For those still wondering about Ray's car (namely Jared and John):

As a side note, what do you guys think about cams for me? Should I do the Buddy Club 264/272 or what? (For those who don't already know the car sees almost only track racing) How much whp do you think I can gain with them (whatver cams you suggest) and a mail-in flash?

jake the 16g is a midrange turbo you should get 264's you will make more torque through the midrange which would be good for track racing. 264's will give you plenty of top end i bet the difference between 264's & 272's on the stock turbo is 2 to 5whp on the top end but the 264's will make more power from 4 to 5500. the 272's really shine when a larger turbo is used.

Sorry for being an "idiot" Scott... but I still don't get it.

Anyway, thanks for the advice on the cams, but by the sound of things... I'm gonna need a new TC instead, for the longest time (since around March) it's been whining, but it hasn't really gotten worse or anything. Just recently it's been getting louder and louder, today I actually had the noise hurt my mother's ears while she was riding with me, she and my father have never even been able to hear it. I'm gonna take it to the dealership and have a chat with Jason, since he told me that it was normal for the crappy Mitsu TC to whine. I'll see what they say, but what do you "professionals" think?

i had the same hope...

if the whine is coming from the T-case it is most likely shot. you may as well put in an exedy twin while you have it opened up.

sigh So I'll take it to Mitsubishi again, and this time instead of seeing if they'll replace it under warrenty, I'll ask them to check it out and see if it's busted or not... and if it is, I'll have them put it back together, drive the car to Modern, have Modern take it apart, mail it to TRE, and have Modern put it back together. As far as doing stuff while it's opened up, I'm sure my father isn't very happy that he's going to have to spend money fixing my car already.

I dunno where else the whine could come from, and I have to be very specific when I take it back to Mitsu cuz they have a new service manager who would probably call me later that day and tell me they replaced my odd looking faulty fuel pump So, I'll wait till I have a back up car to drive since I'm taking the S2000 in tomorrow morning (speaking of which, that GTSpec whatever whatever box was no where in the storage Mr. Miller, just a bunch of brake pad boxes were the only boxes smaller than a shoe box, I'll look tomorrow in the garage)

You should talk more with that nice lady that you sometimes see downstairs when you come out for food. She found the ABSK (anti-bump-steer-kit) and put it in the car yesterday afternoon. Pls make sure that Modern understands the work list for the car:
- Accusump
- ABSK
- Heat shield

Accusump and ABSK for sure... didn't get this msg untill now so I don't know about the heat shield.

WE found the ABSK yesterday before I even went to the storage the FIRST time, it was twice the size of a shoebox, not smaller... and it did indeed say Cochillo on it, I believe his name was Tony Cochillo. TC design is not GT design either, your phone sucks ***, either that or I have severe amount of selective hearing when it comes to you... probably a mix of both.
