hey ray ray since you are queen of tires can you give me some expertise on these tires and which one I should save for MMP and which ones should i trash in wendover

Pirrelli p zero corsa brand new 235/45/17

Hoosier R3S04 225/45/17 70% tread remaining.

I also have a gallon of the tire power stuff that you apply to tires to make them sticky to the cords. I think I would need to apply it to the hoosiers since they have been used(bought them used from someone who used them for a time trial and changed them out for a brand new set to get better traction) But would not use it on the pirrellis until I heat cycled them a couple times.

Let me know what you think I should do.

well first of all wendover can kill a set of NEW tires in just one day (ivr) or two (autoxing). I'd use the ones you don't care about in dover and save the ones you do for MMP.

i've heard mixed reviews on the Pirelli's for the track. Def. not a good autox tire. The Hoosiers you have are excellent track tires.

Are you just going out for fun or are you competing?

well i am doing IVR in wendover so that is just to improve my skills

the Cobb track day at MMP it would be nice to give the shop STi a run for its money and whoop on some other peeps while out there.

So I think i will save the hoosiers for MMP and use that tire power stuff on them

then run the Pirrellis at IVR

Okay, so I'll save up for 264s for awhile... hopefully I'll have em in and working, and I'll help Ben put the whoop on most of the other cars there.

 

I'm a bit worried about what the Cobb day is going to be like ... a lot of yahoos on track at the same time. Especially those Evo drivers that don't know how to drive!
