Thanks for the info on the springs

No offense but the A032s aren't gonna be that great for Autoxing. It was never really designed for it. It's more for road racing but even at that they were never that good. The best mod for Autoxing is.... TIRES! The best right now are the Kumho V710s, next would be Hoosiers A3S05 but they are about to release a new compound since they got their butts kicked by Kumho two years in a row now (they're not use to that). A great tire that's inexpensive is the Kumho VictoRacers. They work great especially for the money. Only thing i don't like about them is that they are a little heavy. You can do all the mods you want (power mods, suspension mods) but if you don't have a good tire you're not gonna win against somebody that does with similar driving skills as you.

As for springs, yes they will help but it all depends on the spring rates you go with. It's not just about lowering the the overall ride heighth. Tho the Evo doesn't feel like it has a lot of body roll, IT DOES! A stiffer spring will take SOME of that roll away. Putting together a good combo spring rate, front and rear, will make drastic improvements on the way the car handles. But keep in mind a good alignment will also make the car better. The factory settings are terrible for autoxing. Adjustment from that alone will shave time off your runs...

Anyway, if you are seriously into autoxing , let me know. I'll give you the setup that i ran and liked... not that i was any good. Just trying to give some tech info since Zach was on our case.

oh and btw, what class you gonna run in? If you do springs it'll throw you outta stock.

Your choices would be:

AS - Very limited in mods you can do. mainly just tires and lighter wheels but the size (wheels) has to be stock and the backspace has to be within 1/4". Your only comp will be Gonzo in his STi (he's pretty good)

ESP - More mods like suspension, any wheel and tire combo. But you're limited into what you can do for power. check your scca rule book cause i think some things have changed. Even the class i thought might be moved into BSP this year but i'm not sure. Your only comp might be Doug in his Mustang GT (he's REALLY good but he said he'll probably not race this year)

SM - Pretty much any mod you wanna do (for the most part). Sorry, no offense, but fat chance you'll finish top 5. The drivers in this class are pretty awesome! But if you want real competition, this is the class to be in. There are usually 20 guys running at each event. I've seen almost 35 a couple of times. We had our own run group.

Jared, in case you couldn't tell you have a PM

And I hope to all the Gods there could possibly be that Warrtalon never discovers this thread

And everyone still agrees that I should get straight 264s instead of anything else, correct?

I remember when he first started posting and everyone made fun of him.. what happened to the good old days where no one on EvoM was a "professional" by any means... Everyone thinks he knows everything about everything there is to do with Evos... I betcha he's never even heard of Accusump, bastard.
