If I had to do it all over again I would use the tensioner.
BUT I would take off the Sbelt and the crank pully and mark the lower timing belt so i could know if it move or not.
I know it is the cheater way but doing that would ensure teh belt wouldn't move and that is the only problem doing it that way.

Jake, why would you need a torque wrench? are you planning on doing the install yourself? No offense but if you are, i wouldn't. Pay someone like Zach to do it. If i were to trust anyone to do it in the SL valley it would be Zach and Zach only!

for those of you that would like to know about the xs power manifold & that ebay o2 housing i put both on a car today they bolted up good & everything fit right i don't know about the gains i'm sure he can speak up on how it feels if he noticed anything.
thanks chris for the business
jake if you sticking with the stock turbo or even a small upgrade you will get a better power band for road racing with 264's there is a local eclipse kid that runs high 11's with 264's & a 60 trim turbo so it will still haul ***
So, straight 264s then? not a mix or 272s? And thanks Ray, there's no way I'm doing them myself, I needed your help to do the exhaust... Since Zach has done what like 3 or 4 of them, I will most likely take it to him, and even buy pizza for Scott to supervise... Like my father said though, it would be best to take it somewhere that may not be as knowledgable, but is going to back up their work 100%, not that I think that Zach will mess up, but if he did some freak way... Well, you get the idea, I'd rather have someone owe me a new engine than someone say "oh... tough ****" (hey, kinda like mitsubishi did) I will almost definitly be doing the TME 6.5 or the 20g or the 50 or 60 trim smaller turbos. Especially the 20g or the 6.5 since they're a lot cheaper.
Also, side question, how hard (how much does it cost) to put on an exhaust manifold is it? And how bad is it that one of the bolts is missing on the manifold-engine part of the manifold on my car?
Lastly, ContiSport Contacts for AllSeason, right? My winter tires are pretty much done for, and I only have 2 good summer tires left.

Sorry, that bolt part may be confusing... its just one of the nuts of the like 10 studs that's missing, not a stud or bolt... And its had to have been missing for at least since they replaced the engine spring before last spring (so 2 years ago almost) because no one else has messed around near the manifold heat shield even.
And hooray for Rally Sweden today!!!

Well the only reason why i recommend Zach is cause when he did mine, he was completey competent and made sure it was done right. But i understand and agree with your dad even though i've seen shops f' up and not fess to it so you're stuck with the bill anyway.
Why do you want to run all-seasons? are you not gonna run winter tires anymore?
BTW, the ContiSports suck a$$ IMO. A better allseaon would be the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S or Toyo Proxes 4. The Pirelli's are better than the Toyo's. I have the Pirelli's...
oh btw, Zach is right about the cams. I'd go with 264/264 since you're not a drag racer...

264s it is, especially since Jared is the fastest...
And I'm not sure Ray, all I do know is that only 2 of the Ventus k104s are good still, and my Blizzaks are on their very last leg. So Mr. Tire-wiz, what would you do?

How good are the 2 Hankooks? If they are only fair, i'd replace all four.
As for switching to all-seasons you'd save a little money. The Pirelli PZero Nero M&S is the way i'd go. They're fairly cheap and they do a good job for performance and are ok in the snow.
Your best option is what you had before. Summer tires and winter tires. Not really for the summer tires but for the winter tires. Nothing beats a set of winters in the snow... NOTHING. If your gonna do this and are on a budget, go with the Ventus 104's again for summer but this time go with Hankook winter W300 for the snow. It's an awesome snow tire especially for the money. Even if you weren't on a budget i'd recommend that winter tire. The Blizzaks you got were a lot cheaper than normal. We got them at an excellent price so you did too (way below normal cost) Now unless wheel werks gets them again for so cheap, just go with the hankooks.
BTW, man you go through tires like crazy. You don't need anymore stickn power cause you'll wear the tires out even faster.

anyway that's what i know but remember i've been gone for six months but i'm pretty sure not much has changed... i'm just glad i live in a place now that doesn't have to deal with that stickn white $hit. but i was in slc for the whole month of Jan and it seemed like it snowed the whole time!
I HATE SOW!
