So, i have to apologize to all the kart guys (Mike, Riley, whoever else likes them and i was hating on). I have driven karts twice now out at MMP. They were 2-speed paddle shifter, i think maybe rotax? Not really sure.
Anyway, they are uber hot! They are nothing like any indoor or mini golf karts or whatever, they actually grip, you can hold a corner and I think they improve my road race skills too. I was told these would go about 85, and I don't doubt it at all. The full track there is amazing.
Anyway, a huge
to karters and to the setup at MMP. If you are looking to get your butt kicked, take a few laps.

Lol gotta love it when you rip on something you have never tried...only to find out it is pretty cool.
It made me laugh because MOST professional racers start out in karts. They typically get started around 5 years old and stay in it until 18 or so, before moving into Formula Atlantic or further. Kart racing seems to be more competitive then any other form of amateur racing.
I remember seeing a comparision on this a few years ago. Brand new C5 Z06 against a 125cc shifter. On a full road course, the kart still ****ed up the Z06 by like 6 seconds on a 1 minute course. That's on a high speed course where the Z06 really should have had the advantage.
