Whats up everyone. I am a new Evo owner as well as a new resident of the Salt lake City Area I just wanted check in and complain about all of the flying rocks on the freeway! Yeah, yesterday I got nailed while driving on the 215 by a dump truck that had a sticker on the back that said "GOT ROCKS?" My windshield had a foot long crack almost instantly. Wow that really pissed me off! I was wondering if someone could recommend a good windshield installer? I have never had to get a windshield replaced before so I feel totally clueless. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW I am lovin my Evo and Salt Lake City! (flying rocks aside)

 

yah the road conditions up here suck! i didnt truely notice it until i got my coilovers put in but now i spend most of my time driving around dodging pot holes and stuff.

Welcome. Had the same thing happen to me. Totally lame. Just call any dog in the phonebook, or www.dexonline.com, you should be able to get one installed for well under $200.

Did the back of the truck say, GOT ROCKS? Or was it GOT DIRT? If it said, GOT DIRT, and it was a purple truck, then I might know what company it was. I drive a dump truck for a living and the state is very strict about companies fixing damages to vehicles due to debris coming off of trucks. The next time something like that happens, god forbid, get the trucking company's name, truck number, location it happened, and most importantly say, the debris came off of the truck, not off of the road. The highway patrol should enforce the issue if the trucking company gives you any grief.

I'll keep my eyes open for a truck that says that. Do you know what color it was? That does seem like a high quote.

 

I think the truck was tan or yellow it was really beat up.
