arent skylines not as fast as they are hyped up to be especially when stock? i herd tht especially the r33's weigh like 3500 lbs and have the same hp as a stock evo but i dont know what i am talking about. a skyline with some mods would be pretty sweet though.
The horse power was limited by the government. All cars manufactured in Japan had a limit of 280hp even the Skyline and the Supra. That just ment that the companies built detuned versions of their products. Hack in the GTR ECU, make a few changes and bam you had your 400+hp car still on the stock equipment. Recently that restiction has been lifted so we will start seeing some even crazier stuff then before. Though they are "heavy" by japan standards they are "light" buy American standards. The newer C6 Corvette, BMW M3, Mustang even the 911 TT are around 3200-3500+lbs. So it's right in there with those guys.

I think the Skyline would be sick! But I also feel that you have a new car that is more dependable for daily driving and you don't know that about the Skyline. I bought my car and thought it was all fine and had to rebuild the head and put a new clutch in ect, but that is what happens when you buy cars that are 10 years old. I would like to get a good dependable car for once like a new car so I don't have another project. But I buy cars and think what car I do to it to make it faster, look better, ect. just think about what you will do to it, what you will use it for, and how much do you want to spend.
In the end just think about it and do what you want. My Dad didn't want me to get my IV, but I did it anyway because I wanted it. And ya I have had to put money into it but I probably would have done that to any car.
