Holy crap, that's next weekend.... Want to go so bad... want to delay changing to summer tires for powder coating... dammit!

I wonder if they'll ask me to instruct again... They've got about a week left before their normal schedule. If they do, I'll definitely be there, if not, dunno if I'll change my tires before then... Powder coating ftmfw... if it ever happens...

Let me know how it turns out if you do. I don't trust myself enough to do it.

Pistons will be back from coating on friday. Solid has me clocked in for around April 14th or so. If I had more time I would drop it in myself and have it done this weekend. Maybe i should say screw it. Who needs a higher education anyway when you have a fast car right?

Plus paul does a great job. With my own car I prob would be in a rush and mess some more stuff up.

We have the park from 10:00am to 4:00pm (we have to leave by 4:00pm) There is enough room for 200 people, Pavillion, BBQ grills, Playground (so bring the kids) We need to figure out if people want to bring food (pot luck) or pay a fee and i will take care of everything. We need to get a list going of who will make it, I also want to set up a cruise after, I have some ideas but your input will be helpfull. Thanks
All the activities going on in the area through this forum are great! It would have been nice if there had been things this often between when I bought my Evo and got deployed! Keep it up and I would be glad to join in when I get back (hopefully May-June)!!!

At the shop I work at we use that stuff all the time and as long as you have good thick rubber glove, a mask , and you are working out side there is no way you can mess up, even you Jake . You just spray the stuff on the paint you want off, let it sit for like one minute, then with a brush and a squeegee you scrape all the paint off, it comes of like jelly.

How hard is it to scrape all the stuff off? Does it get other gunk off? (Remember, my wheels are almost 10 years old, the inside is nasty with brake dust... half the reason I want to do this).

Could I use a power washer after spraying it with the aircraft stripper to peel/scrape the paint off? Or does it take more elbow grease than that?

Ya a power washer should do the trick. You might have to scrub a few spots but it comes of real easy. It is just really strong acidy stuff so watch out for the stuff flying every where it can do real damage.
