Good to hear a cop/future cop say that. It sounds stupid but I can't think of a better way to say it this early: that's how I've gotten out of many tickets. F, a friend and I got pulled over in Sandy in our Evos because a cop thought we were street racing (we kinda were, 'cept it was that he wanted to see how his car performed, we went 10-45ish and then just cruised, but we took a corner fast and that's where the cop saw us), we told him EXACTLY what we were doing, both our stories were the same. He let us off with a warning. Only rude thing he did was ask us why we were in Sandy "We live like 5 minutes away dude... seriously, we're going bowling... no no wait, alright, I admit, we are invading Sandy and trying to take it over!!!!"

I'm not going. I'm bummed about it. Saturday was my free day but because that's the Advanced day I can't go. Like I said earlier, a bunch of us were planning on it assuming the beginner day would be Saturday. Alot of my friends leave for the summer to do summer sales (they make a ton of money in 4 months) but it's right during track season so this was going to be the time to go with everyone. Oh well, there is always September (for them, I'll still be on the track this summer )
Have you ever been to a Miller open track day? Do they have instructors or anything? I'm thinking about going on the 15th but since it is my very first time on the track, I wanted an instructor atleast for the morning. Especially since I would be forking out $275 I would go on the 26th with the PCA but i'm going to be out of town and then the next good day isn't till June (What the hell is up with May? Why no track days?) I would like to get on the track before June.

We can make just about any thing you could want....price dependant on type of materials used & how extensive the project is. For the most part if the items are for an evo we wont need the car, we can mock up most parts on my car, unless you're after a cage.

I'm really hoping that I can get it done before the bbq. Gearhead has also been keepin his eye on the ecu-flash patches to run two different fuel maps by way of the intercooler switch, so I can be tuned with and with out the injection kit, and I can control when I want to use the kit.
Pending some pins that are in the mail, I should have the patch loaded & tested in my 05 this weekend

I wasn't going too say anything until the BBQ, My friend and I are starting a carbon fiber buisness, he is a Composites Specialist in the Aerospace Industry, were are already designing moulds for my Hayabusa. I spoke too him about doing some parts for the Evo and he is excited, He should be at the BBQ. We want to make parts that are not already out there. We have almost all the tools we just need a vacuum resevoir, which we will be ordering in the next month.

Add these:

LAPPING DAYS 2008 TRACK DATES (just google Lapping Days)

5/19/08 - Monday - Miller Motorsportspark West Track
6/23/08 - Monday - Miller Motorsportspark East Track
7/22/08 - Tuesday - Miller Motorsportspark West Track
8/18/08 - Monday - Miller Motorsportspark East Track

I will be at work on the 15th, but supposedly there is a Speed Club or something day on the 12th and 13th, same day as our bbq. If they will take instructors just for one day I might help instruct on the 13th if they'll let me do just one day. But I'm not missing the bbq.

Tephra alt-map switching v5, you need to check with what ecu code you have..they don't have mine yet
"ROMID's in progress - ie DONT ASK :P
96940011/96940015 - unfortunately this ROM doesn't contain enough space for V5 to fit"

And eaiset way to make it all work would be to grab this
http://www.dsm-ezine.com/evoVIII_adc_switch.html

I've got my failsafe solenoid now on my alky kit but I'm using this tephra mod on my ecu right now

I have a really close friend that was stationed up there at Hill for a few years, but he got transferred to Great Falls MT, about 6 months ago. He has a silver 03 evo running 409 whp stock turbo. His name is Mike Perkins. He's over in the desert somewhere right now too.

Hell yeah man! Let me know what you think of it. I talked to your brother and he said he's going to check and see if he can get a hall pass to go to the bbq.

Are you going to be doing any kind of lip kits and such? Cuz if you were to do something like the Chargespeed Bottomline kit, I'd be buying from a local, and not ordering from across the pond!

I don't know what all this means, BUT IT SOUNDS COOL! Thanks Wes. I'm still a scareded about all this tuning and afr's and all. It is so far beyond me. I'm trying to learn but that's why I have gearhead trying to learn me! I need the cliffnotes version of "Tuning and Understanding How to Not Blow Your **** Up for Dummies!"

No you don't just floor it all over town for 24 hrs, the ECU auto-learns and tunes your car for you!!!! FTMFW!!!

Anyone else planning on going out this weekend, either for the Saturday Advanced day or the Sunday Beginner day? SCCA is a good group to go with... And I'd be your instructor...
