Utah Evos
Drop him an email. He should be able to get you something to fit your budget.
It seems to me on the coilover issue that it's as much of a cult following as the cars themselves. I was having this discussion with my brother who has had a S2k, and a NSX. Us evo owners don't unserstand why anyone would own and sink tons of money into a civic because at the end of the day it's still a civic. Well each car group seems to find a coilover and stick to it. The RX-7 guys loved Teins. The BMW guys didn't like them. Bilsteins are popular with some clubs and not others. In my mind I'm thinking "is it the coilover or just people become so fixed on one as 'the best' that others are deemed bad?" I don't know the answer. I think you should go with the cusco's because the price difference between them and the Teins is small and the cuscos get praised on the evo more than the teins do. Like I said before I think you would be happy with any coilover you get, they are all pretty good.
Just my 2 cents.

BTW how much did the wide band cost ya? I'm thinking I'm going to do zetronix most likely
The wideband is $250 on his site which is what most ebay sellers are at but if you email or call him, he can probably do a better price for you (he did for me
). He may also be able to get you the Zeitronix cheaper also. He's also finding out what price he can get me on a GM 3-bar Map Sensor so that I can get my AEM EMS in a running. I went with the AEM because i liked the gauge look instead of the rectangular LCD Display. Plus with the EMS I can log on that so the logging function wasn't something I was looking for.
Jason can find most aftermarket parts and brands you are looking for. Plus you save shipping (although Orem is a long drive from down south Wes).

I was thinking zetronix for the logging etc.. and maybe put it where my clock is. I'll stay with stock ecu for now its good for 500hp just thing is that honeycomb starts to get sucked up against the maf and **** it up.
hey I can ship stuff for free from slc / provo to stg with my work
When Vesko setup my cusco's he had good stuff to say about them. I mean if you wanna spend more then 2k on coilovers I could recommend alot other things and if you want to spend 5k and get a set of dms 50mm haha yea the 5k part.
Just read closely about the two. Obviously the first thing thats noticeable is the pricing. Both are 5way adjustable on damper but the 2r has a different top mount
& no dust boot..the rest??

I'm having second thoughts on getting wheels now
I want more power and gauges Jake did you call that powder coating shop?
Guys,
Dunno if this helps or not but from what I have read on the forums (granted, not first hand experience) Tein is **not** the way to go for our cars. They make some great springs for others but people have had quite a few blown struts and just disappointment in general. Here is a really informative thread I found on spring comparisons:

also - I may not be able to make it to the BBQ, I have to paint my new apt. Although I could just take a break and come down and meet you guys for a few. We can familiarize ourselves with one another by smelling each others seats.

Glow-Shift. Cheap, but effective!
I really want some Defi's but I don't wanna spend that much on gauges. I like the prosport gauges too because they have the warning
Speaking of gauges, I have my autometer steering column gauge pod thing still if someone wants it, w/ a really broken autometer boost gauge in it too
Didn't call yet, I emailed him, I've been at work today.
And I agree with Chuck (apologize on the Teins, turns out they were cool when my JIC FLTA-2s were cool...
) about the only coilover brand that seems to be popular among all car gurus are the Motons. Bilsteins I rarely ever hear about for the Evos, but they're pretty popular for most German brands as far as I've found, at least they're fairly common in the Porsche world.
