Hey, anyone recommend anywhere for alignments/corner balancing? And does anyone happen to magically know the magical number for toe and camber settings that would be good for my car?
I got a flat yesterday (awesome pics to come later) and noticed the insides of my rear tires were a lot less worn than the outside... Time for some uber negative camber in the rear

Boo, no wonder all the Porsche guys recommend coilovers for the first mod.
Anyway, here's some pics of the spare tire change, those sunset pics, and some from the track days: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...15#post5519415

hows the porsche on the track?
man, I'm still laughing about this a day later.
The coilovers that a lot of the newbie (non-pro/crazy dudes) recommend aren't much more than the JIC FLTA-2s I had for the Evo, surprisingly enough. But I gots bills ta pay... And wheels to powder coat
(No Josh, still haven't called him or got an email back but I'm gonna call him today). Plus, with the rear tires lookin like they are I may need new ones before summer is out (hooray, 340 treadwear Nexxen N300s... replaced with... I dunno... I'm thinking RE01-Rs if they aren't too much
)
I posted the orange spare just for you pink and green wheel fans
As for how the Porsche is on track... Well the first day I left PSM on, because I'm a girl and afraid of crashing my car, or even spinning out (The S2000 left me scarred for life). The back end starts stepping out so easily on the Porsche that I didn't dare turn it off.
Second day after instructing I got the last session to drive... Decided I was with the beginners and turned off PSM... turns out it starting to spin out is not really it spinning out, but it still in "rwd" mode... The damn thing drives like they describe the X drives... Oh, here's a hair pin, turn wheel, back end spins around, front tires kick on and pull the car out of the spin and out of the corner. I was seriously about 3-7 mph fast in all the corners with PSM off. It was wonderful, with better tires and a decent suspension set-up that thing would be pretty mean. With PSM on instead of the front wheels just kicking on more, you'd get flashy lights and the power would decrease and the car would attempt to keep you going straight, which you don't want... you want to come out of the apex and use the full track width, most of the time. I was like
all day long at how awesome it drove. It was like a lightweight Evo, with the engine in the rear, and no turbo lag. Using 2nd and 3rd is weird compared to using 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Topping out at 110 in 3rd makes for a nice track car
It was consistently at about 200 degrees once it warmed up, never went into the Porsche "recommended" "danger" zone (which is not the red area, but the top 1/3 of the gauge). Oil pressure was fine, fun to watch the oil sump system work when going around a corner, the Accusump in the Evo worked too well, so you never really even saw pressures drop, in this it would go from about 4 bar down to 1.5 bar and then bounce back up to about 3. Sloshy oil ftl! Brakes worked wonderfully and never got mushy, though they did create a lot of dust and I probably didn't use them as much as I could've. I'm actually really surprised after driving that that I could keep up with the Turbo and pass it in my Evo w/ R-comps, Jics, and 70 more whp. If it wasn't a driver thing, it had to have been all tires, and in that case, r-comps on a Porsche would be insane
Wow, long post... that's what you get for asking me a question while I'm at work.
