Thanks Tyler, but can't we get a sound clip of the BOV with WORKS settings (which is what I would leave it at 99% of the time anyways)

Hey Tyler,

I just want to make a post to let you know that you're doing a great job in regards to Customer Service since David left. I really appreciate it that you're posting up and also answering the phone. Thanks Buddy.

I'll do my best to make this happen, keep in mind that recorded sounds are nothing like in person however.

Thanks nebolic

But i thought there was only one setting (ie Works) to maintain the stock drivability. Also besides the sound are there any other benefits of this BOV over the stock one? Such as holding more boost, etc?

hey tyler,

will there be a discount on this item?
and ... i assume since it will work like stock BOV (+ sounds), there will be no stalling issues...

i've stalled mine 3 times already when trying to park car uphill...nebolic actually witnessed 2 of them...

Actually there are no stalling or bogging problems with this BOV. On the contrary, this is a combo vta/recirc BOV that is user tunable. So you decide how much is vented or recirc'ed.

In theory, this BOV could cause stalling *IF* you chose to completely vent to atmosphere and recirculate no air at all. But, since it is up to you how much air you recirc and how much you vent, it is up to you if the car is going to stall, bog, etc..

If you installed this BOV and chose to recirc all air, no worries. If you chose to do a partial vent and recirc most of the air, no worries. BUT, if you choose to vent as much as air as possible, then you will have issues with stalling, bogging, etc..

One more time in case people are having issues understanding what exactly makes this particular unit so special - this blow off valve is both a vent to atmosphere AND recirculating blow off valve. It is USER TUNABLE meaning you decide the particular ratio of vent versus recirculated air.

If anyone has any issues understanding this, please let me know so I can have the above text translated via Babblefish to your native language.

If you had a different air intake, say the Buschur Racing cone style air intake, it might be louder when only doing a recirc. This holds true when using a cone style intake with the *stock* blow off valve.

But, if you put this Works/GFB blow off valve on your Evo, you can do a partial vent, get that nice whoosh sound and you won't have to worry about bogging issues (unless you vent too much!). You get to decide how loud the venting will be - and if there will be any venting at all.

Does this answer your question? Please say YES.
