Is it suppose to blow off while just free reving in neutral? I hear sound clips of revving but mine just returns to idle after revving and i dont hear any blow off noise. thanks

No, you should not hear the "psssssstt" when revving in neutral. That doesn't produce enough load to spool the turbo, hence there is little air to vent to atmosphere.

Yes it is supposed to blow off even in neutral if you rev hard enough. If you are not hearing the blow off in neutral then your spring setting is probably too stiff. Also you need to rev it to about 5000rpm + to get it to blow off.

I stand corrected... Nebo is right - rev the motor high enough and I do get the pssst sound in neutral.

Do you guys use the standard 3 full turns for the spring adjustment? Or will less turns work too so that it will blow off easier in neutral? thanks

depends on how much boost you're using and also after the break in period you'll adjust the spring again since it will be a bit more loose.

Wondering Tyler at 24 pounds of boost should i change the standard settings. Also I lost my instructions on the amount of turns for spring settings and venting. Just wondering. BTW I did notice that my car hauled A$$ alot faster with this Bov over the stocker. My stocker must have been leaking a lil or was unable to hold boost.

The BOV comes with some kind of pre-set, I see in this thread. Is that a near-stock configuration?

There's mention of adjustment after "break-in". I assume the only measurement of it's settings and effectiveness would be a quality boost gauge (I don't care about any noise from the thing, thanks)?

Does Works have a good boost gauge they recommend/sell and is it an A-pillar install?

Thanks!
