anyhow, thanks for the info Jan. So the WORKS car already has the "kit" installed? Does it sound any different? I cannot wait for that kit to come out...I know it's going to be a reliable 360whp. How long do you think a stock clutch would last with that kind of power? I dont think too long. Does anyone have a guess/or know an ETA?

thanks.

I think the Works car is loud, but I blame that on their Exhale and IP, not the turbo itself.

I don't know a lot of the details on the turbo kit. They were showing it off at the first big NorCalEvo.net meet we threw back in January and it looked competely stock inside the engine bay. I don't know how much power it is making and honestly I don't know if I could get an accurate reading since my butt dyno is completely out of tune right now.

And I could not get any info on the turbo itself. I guess I am gonna have to buy it if I want the real info on it.

will i called them as i said. the good news is that everything is stock like intercooler and so on and you still get about 360 whp with no intake or manifold or even cames modifecation. can you guys believe what our EVOs will be with this kit, cams, exhaust and intake it will be a nice fast as ride that you can drive everyday.

And Englands dreaming- 30 psi is dancing with the devil. Not that it cant be done but this is totally counter to the usual Works philosophy.

Is there a market for our stock turbos? It would make this whole thing a lot easier on the wallet if I could get a couple dollars for my stock turbo.

I am sure you can sell it on eBay for around $200 to $300. wilson1 the S4 is different car, from the tuning side you can tune the **** out of it. is it fast? yes but my evo still kills it stock to stock until we hit 120 miles thats when the s4 flies. 2.7 TT unbeatable engine.

I saw Works racing their car with the turbo kit on the track today (Buttonwillow). They were passing people effortlessly. Pretty good for a turbo kit that is not even completely finished yet.

I drove the Works shop car with their turbo kit on Sunday @ the SoCaEvo.net meet and I thought I would share my experiences.

The WORKS turbo kit hits very smoothly, with no sudden lurching or surging, and the car continues to pull. I thought there would be this big spool up and then the car would just surge forward harshly, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was just a nice even pull that just kept on going. No peak hp surge that just drops 100hp after 500rpm - just continuous pull until redline.

As for the appearances - if you look under the hood, the car looks stock.

Now I need to work some financial magic so I can get this in my Evo.
