That's a nice guide, but that is about the NAV unit, not the new touchscreen unit.

That is from the manual and the only information I've found. This is on my to do eventually list so I haven't made any calls. I was kind of being lazy and hoping someone would find out for sure if and what is needed and what is supported as far as wiring on the back of the new unit.

Yah guys again, the OP is saying for the 2014 NON-NAV unit. THis is the touchscreen that does not include navigation. The only way to probably tell is pull apart the trims and see if there is a connection on the back of the touchscreen unit that is similar to the connection on the navi unit.
-I do know that there is a new US rule about all cars should have backup cameras, so I think thats why mitsubishi made sure this was an option on the 2014. Its an upcoming strict rule... So they must have placed a connection there just in case the rule comes into full effect.

Next week I'm going to pull my (2014 Touch screen non-nav) radio out and see if I can install the aux add on cable from eBay. I'll take a few photos and post them up.

Im just wondering though if the gsr evo's would read that we went into reverse or not? Or is this an only MR version capability?

According to

http://www.mitsubishicars.com/lancer/specifications

It shows the

Rear-view camera system
6.1" Touch panel display audio system w/ rear view camera - STD on SE - AWC- GT - Ralliart

That leads me to believe yes. It probably uses the switch that activates the reverse lights?

So it "should" be just connecting the dots with the proper wiring harness, then either an OEM camera or aftermarket one that works.

Yah I think so too. So I got into all my manuals tonight and started reading. It says please go to user manual. I've read the whole owners manual and touchsreen manual and i can't find anything else on it. It seems like the user manual is something else. Does anyone know where I could find the 2014 Evo user manual? Maybe it has more info on this rear view camera.

Make a post in the Ralliart section. Maybe those guys can chime in with a pic of their manual since it comes standard on 2014s.
Or just call the dealer and hope the parts person is up on it.
Literally should be just a harness and oem cam.
Which means harness and less expensive aftermarket cam hah

I've been trying to do the same thing too.

Here's what I've found so far.

The part number for the touchscreen head unit (non-nav) is 8701A490.

I've attached a photo showing the back of the head unit.

I read somewhere that a guy with '13 ASX (same as outlander sport) tried to install aftermarket head unit and mentioned that camera feed was from 8-pin connector (I assume it is either one of those dark colored connectors)

Hopefully this could get things going!

OK called my dealer and struck out.
Called the number on mitsubishiparts.net and the guy looked it up for a Lancer and Ralliart and couldn't find anything. He said that most likely Mitsubishi will offer an add on camera kit later in the year, and just watch out for it. As of now his illustrated parts breakdowns doesn't have anything yet.
He said that it took a year after the 2008 models came out for kit to drop for the 08 Evos with NAV.
30 min on the phone and two strikes, anyone else want to try another dealer?
Basically if they can look up the parts breakdown for a 2014 Lancer or Ralliart and find the harness and camera numbers we should be golden.

Yup, I made two calls myself and struck out. Maybe in a few months we will have some more information. I can't even find any information on that radio part number. Its kind of retarded. I might just try and contact mitsu corporate haha.

the camera part number is 8781A043...although I'm not 100% sure it's the same one used in MY '14 Lancers and Ralliarts. (found the P/N from an auction site in Russia)

Searching 8785A052 isn't promising.

I wonder if there is another harness, or if since we have the USB/Bluetooth, do we already have the connector..?

Keep searching man, great find on the Russian site.
