baking your lights...
i searched but couldnt find much of anything...i know o2thag touched on the subject a little bit when he did his projectors but i wanted to know if anyone had a guide on exactly how to bake your front and rear lights...along with opening them to paint...
I don't think the taillights come apart by baking them. I'm sure I read somewhere that they have to be carefully cut open.
The recipe for the headlights I've always read was to put a pan of water in the oven, heat up to 250-275, then turn the oven off and insert headlights one at a time on a towel (so the plastic doesn't touch the metal rack), let sit for 10 minutes, remove and pull open.

Here's the how-to on it.

Mys is correct, tail lights must be cut open and glued back together.

Whats the point of baking them if you have to cut the silicone anyway?! hmmm
I baked headlights in my old car ... I never used an oven, and replaced the silicone with new stuff. They Never leaked, never fogged up, never faded, and they looked great
I used a similar process to the link Otter posted. http://www.ozecho.com/diy/bakedlights/
