There is nothing out there that requires you remove the TBW system and both piggybacks out now (RRM's and Haltech's) are about as plug and play as they're going to get (splicing and soldering.)

The interceptor unit is only around 7 wires to solder in total. Otherwise retains all stock items on the vehicle. Can't get much easier than this

Sounds great for the interceptor how about the RRM piggyback how much wires do we have to solder or splice? anybody RRM>? can we control ignition and fuel with both RRM and HALTECH. We need to compare them cause haltech cost like 900$ and I think RRM is like 600$ can somebody verify this?

THe Fuel timing box from us is about $800 but will come preloaded with a map to start you off plus specific instructions for install in Lancer. Install is easy.

I have a Haltech Interceptor on a N/A setup. Cars power curve is much healthier. As mentioned above, it can control ignition and fuel.

We can also use the perfectpower smt-6 I just registered to their web site and it looks like it will work nicely It has a few more wires to splice than the interceptor but again it only costs 250$ pretty cool huh and the tuning sofware it's also nice . I emailed them to know if the lancer 2.0 4G63 wiring diagram it's the same as the 4G69 2.4 if it is I will buy it and install it and keep you guys updated.

ROAD/RACE
and what can you do with the FUEL TIMING BOX??

can you tune the timing maps?
Can you tune the Fuel maps?

what else can we do with it?

piggy back? or what?

MAP-ECU-2 sound like a good option, a lot of features and less price + you can take the MAF and throw it to the garbage

It's not going to be the same, the cars have completely different ECUs and have different wiring setups. However, if you do try it and get it to work, by all means share. I'm keeping an eye out for a more inexpensive tuning option, since it seems that flashes aren't going to happen.

I took a look in to their website and their piggyback it's like the perfect power unit only the MAP-ECU 2 has a built in MAP, please don't trow the stock MAF into the garbage just sell it or keep it. Bad Karma !!!!
