Even a reflash(if available) is going to limit you cause the stock ECU will never be as fast in it's readings as a standalone. Anyway a reflash is worth the money. Here in PR people are reflashing Hondas for 60 $ with very GOOD results and they already started in the MIVEC ECU we bought one for practicing purposes but it will take a while to finish it and getting it to run properly.

If/once flashing is available for the Ralliart, it will hand's-down be the best option (bang for buck), considering all the tools are now available for people to do their own flashes, or to even buy the tools then take it to a tuning shop to have them flash it. Obviously, stand-alone will always be better, but that's usually either beyond someone's budget (AEM) or abilities (Megasquirt).

all this talk and someone needs to man up and do a reflash and ya so what i wasted 200 on a used neo with a harness hmm the 4g69 isnt a puzzle you need to map the ecu with a montioring system and go from there you get all the signals and sensors outputs like i did and yaaaaa 200+$40 tune on a dyno is worth my 156.4 whp

It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Megasquirt can run fuel and spark for almost any gasoline engine... period.

This has been proven on everything from Jetski's to 233mph cars.

In a basic Megasquirt setup you have two options:
1. Fuel
2. Fuel & Spark

To control fuel, you can just grab a Tach signal from any tach output on the ECU or from the trigger on the coil pack.

Make your system easy to disconnect for check engine problems and your golden as long as the throttle doesn't shut down on you.

I've attempted reflashes with no luck. I don't have the knowledge to persure it furthur by disassembling the OEM ECU. If you got the Neo to work, do you have the info on how you did it? I'm certainly willing to try it if I can get pointed in the right direction. Hell, even just telling me exactly which wires to hook up to and I'll figure it out from there.

Hence piggyback will do most of what you want to safely modify fuel curves. 5 wires, easy to install and made specific for your Lancer.

Our piggyback is the easiest to use and install. It is specific to the Lancer most others are generic. That sometimes presents a problem.

How about the greddy emanage ULTIMATE. I looked at the installation manuals on their website and they have everything we might to connect it to our engines, we can even eliminate the MAF.

Why ? cause you dont have to install the Vtec function just use the programable output for the mivec
