Many others have said that, but the thing is, for whatever reason, the 4G69 doesn't play like the other MIVEC engines do. We can't use any MIVEC controllers and simple things like S-AFC II don't work for us (well, some people claim to have it working, but nobody will share how it's done, so I'm doubtful)

SAFC DOES NOT WORK as they are supposed to in our cars just to leave that clear. Certain people use it as a signal modifier to cheat the stock ECU for a better A/F ratio but our ECU is more advance than that. I hope greddy will work this out cause ralliart owners are out of options here only RRM and AEM and I am looking forwark to install myself a MAPECU2 which I already ordered.

don't waste your money in $300 + neos or SAFC that might get you a few HP save your money for the real thing. Buy a Cat back exhaust , CAI and an a pulley. Unless you are going turbo you won't get that MUCH benefit from piggybacks.

So now we have available the Emanage Ultimate for like $550 I think this is a strong candidate for our selection of piggyback ECU's so let's list them:

1-AEM for like 1300$
2-Haltech 900$
3- RRM 800$
4- Greddy Emanage Ultimate 550$
5- MAP ECU 2 400$
6- Megasquirt V 3 $330
7- Perfect Power SMT-6 250$

Now if you ask me ,none of these have a plug and play option except for the AEM, all the other ones required splicing (soldering). In my opinion the Emanage has a few features that are handy, if you are going turbo eliminating the AFM is a great feature so for this EMANAGEand MAP ECU2 works. The megasquirt requires too much work and programing. There is only one person I've known to worked out the PErfect Power Unit but no response from him.

oh sure i dont know what you guys in pr are smoking but its a good investment for na and turbo , catback gets you want 5-6hp at the most sure let me waste 500 on 5-6hp ya anyways stock exhuast works fine for me with my electronic cuttoff so i dont know think what you want

The Haltech is $900 AUD, so $750ish USD. And again, we don't know which of those actually WORK. People have tried eManage on our car with no success. AEM doesn't have a plug 'n play option for us, either.

I disagree. Dynos prove the Piggyback over and over and will give you more power everywhere in the powerband, not just peak numbers like exhaust does. There are virtually no trade offs: high end for low end or visa versa!

I can see what you're saying migueralliart, but the PB will eliminate flat spots therefore giving you a smoother power band. This will be much better with the extra mods as you stated.

And if you weren't concerned with every single hp and ft-lb than why are you modding anyway? I tuned my piggy mathematically, but I still bought the wideband so I can tune even more accurately. I want every single hp and ft-lb that I can squeeze out of it. And I don't want a turbocharger on a front wheel drive car, it doesn't make sense to me. That's what the piggyback on a NA car is for.

Cleaned this thread out. I don't want to see any more discussion about nitrous. This is a piggyback ECU thread, not nitrous.

You carry a big MOP! That was a bit frustrating. Good work.

The reality of ECU is that unless you go standaolne you will be limited by a lot of things (not worth 430$)

mm hhmmm, which is why you buy used parts when you can! (thanks for the piggy Retro!)

The biggest thing the n00bs need to realize is that our ECU is different from all other ECU's and for that reason, coupled with the VERY limited number of our model cars on the road, it has not been decoded yet. Some of the sensors do not operate like traditional sensors and carry signals that are unique to the 4g69 ECU. With all of this comes the hardships we are all experiencing with tuning capability. Unless someone steps up and decodes the ECU so we can flash it we will have to wait for a company with money to waste to come along and tune for the VERY limited number of customers who modify the RA. That's not good business practice, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
