says the guy who wussed out on our track meets last year

took care of it...
very nice...did you have the oil squirter ports machined into the block? some argue it's very important to keep the pistons cool when you start cranking the boost, but others who have done 4G64 swaps have skipped on the oil squirters...keep us updated, i'm very interested in what the block will handle as is...in the future i'll be looking at a spare block, that i will build up with strong aftermarket internals...
I didnt use oil squirters, there is plenty of oil being tossed about to keep it on everything, and ill be using primarily E85 so im not too worried about piston temperature. I did consider it since i do road racing but im not after big power or boost at the road course. My road course tune will likely 'only' be around 24PSI and 450WHP even though similar setups to mine can make 600+WHP.
Im still nervous being one of the first people to push this block...
To the other internal question that i think was directed at me Its using Stock crank, Howard/MAP rods, Wiseco HD 10:1 pistons. BS removed.
Didnt mean to derail your thread cranswick just wanted to continue inspiring progress!

Sorry crans , I just wanted to inform him on that, to relieve some worries.
Where did you find that info? This summer i will be running it to the max of the turbo which will be around 35PSI and 600WHP just not daily at those levels, Ive only found half completed builds, and i know of another MUCH higher powered 69evo thats probably nearly finished...

Well well well...i'm going to have to interrupt your hijack here....
Let the drooling begin...Rob, this one's for you
So as promised, went in for welding the charge pipe today, i'm not going to go in depth with the fabrication, since i did all the measuring, alignment and cutting on my own time in my garage/basement, so today's trip to the shop was strictly a welding session, if you have any questions, feel free to post, so without further ado, i present you with the last puzzle pieces...that's right folks, my sub $1,500 turbo kit is complete as of this afternoon, thanks again to Roy, my welder extraordinaire...feast your eyes...

you're so high maintenance...worse than my wife for god's sake...
i can't install it until Hackish provides me with a ROM so i can run the 3-Bar MAP sensor and 440cc injectors...then i just need to install it, shouldn't take more than a couple hours and a few beers...
