Well, I'm newly single and looking to channel some negative energy into my car.

Wasn't thinking about going turbo before but now that I'll have the time and money to play with...

When's this expected for the market haha. I need to get cracking

As I understand it, the Manual Transmission kit is already available, OttRalliart05 can give you the details. The AT kit is still to be mocked-up.

Awesome.

All my friends are saying - "Turbo."

My buddy sold the evo I had a loan already drawn up for.

I'm so down. Haha.

Well, his old lady and him want to get their first house and the evo was the extra kick they needed for a down payment... he said he'd much rather have sold it to me but someone showed up with the cash first.

He sold off his 180sx previously as well..

This may have been asked somewhere already, if so just ignore me and move on. But what all is coming in the kit exactly. Other than the obvious plumbing, turbo, and intercooler. Like will the kit come with a way to flash the ECU, or will we have to provide that ourselves? Will it come with larger injectors or is it tuned for stock? Will it come with any electronics? Turbo timers, boost controllers and the like?

Im wanting to start getting ready for the kit, but Id like to know ahead of time what is coming in the packages if Im going to be spending $4k-ish on a kit.

as far as i know, it will come with engine management, example: a software license and a good tune...larger injectors are required anywhere above like 3-4psi, and yes the kit includes 550cc injectors if i'm not mistaken, if you run water through the center section you don't really need a turbo timer, and i do believe the kit does not include a turbo timer, because they are not really required, and would only drive up the cost, i think a while ago i mentioned that if there was a group buy, turbo timers would be part of the package, not sure if that's still valid, cause it was not for sure...you don't need it though, even if you're just running oil, just let the engine idle for like a minute before you shut it off, after some spirited driving...there is no boost controller, the kit is tuned for 8psi, that's what the wastegate is rated for...down the road though, it would be too easy to install an inexpensive manual boost controller, as the 550cc injectors will have a fair bit of headroom for more boost, but you would need a new tune...either that or you could put a stiffer spring in the wastegate...but don't forget some ARP headstuds at the very least if boosting beyond 10psi
