A/t

Do you have the A/T kit, and if so, any numbers that you can share? Will any mods be required to the engine internals?

There's not much difference between AT and MT...i think the lower radiator hose is slightly different, but the transmission is roughly the same size...you can run 7-8psi on a stock block no problem...7-8psi is just putting balloons up, the party hasn't even started yet...

The auto reflash for a turbo application isn't working yet on the ralliart platform. We still haven't figured it out with my car yet.

the kit should physically fit...but yeah, basically the auto tune rests on blaire and mike's shoulders...

Crans, again, if 7-8 psi allows me to keep the internals, I'd be overly happy "just putting balloons up," especially if that increases the hp over 200, not to mention 240! Sounds like you guys are after numbers, MUCH BIGGER numbers, where I'd be happy to push, or in this case, "pull" 200hp and go have a blast out on the road course!

Well good luck with that. I know us auto guys got our fingers crossed that you'll get it straightened out! Keep at it!

what he said...i've sat shotgun in 11 and 12 second cars, i've also rode shotgun in OttRalliart05's car with both the turbo and supercharger...250 to the wheels will feel nice, but still nothing compared to the big boys...but even my custom kit, the first time i felt a turbo spool up from the driver's seat i was in love...and i know i'm not making 250 yet, hackish should be able to get that straight away, but i need another paycheck and some time to do some much needed suspension work...

Ya, this is correct. No reason why the kit shouldn't physically fit on an auto. From what I've seen of Brent's kit, the physical aspects of his kit vs my RRM kit... theres just no comparison. Brent's exhaust manifold looks amazing whereas my rrm manifold is a bad design and is prone to cracking.

Anyways, as for the reflash with an auto ecu... I've seen for my own eyes that with 4 larger injectors and zero piggyback/5th injector my ecu is capable of adding fuel as soon as the car enters boost. The problem lies with way too much fuel being added, followed by the car bogging out to the point where it almost feels like it hits a rev limiter. And this is happening right after the onset of boost - so basically in the 2700 - 3000 rpm range. Leaning out the tune has not been the solution to the problem and this is what we're currently working on to figure out. But hey, its a start, and we know for sure its in the right direction as fuel is being added by the ecu.

OT: Meanwhile, just ordered EBC BRAKES GD7104 & GD7108 FRONT & REAR GOLD ROTOR KITS, and Yellowstuff front and rear brake pads yesterday. Just replaced both front nylon bearings on my Tein dampers as well, for they were both cracked.

Next: Gotta convince the wife to up the limit on the credit card (5k), anticipating the AT kit to become available! She's already said "NO!," lol!

in regards to AT vs MT. there might be a slight difference with the intercooler piping as the auto trans is bigger than the manual. i'm not sure whether or not turbokits.com has made a variation of the piping to deal with this issue.

how much bigger is the AT? cause there's tons of room for the upper intercooler pipe...

I know the only difference in piping for the rrm kit in terms of MT vs auto is how the piping routes from the driver side of the intercooler and up through to the throttle body. Auto's had to relocate their coolant reservoir and route the piping straight up between the driver side headlight and the battery. The space between the rad fan/transmission is fairly limited.

I could take a pic of my piping to make this image clear. The piping might be made possible to fit similarly to the MT setup's but I've never tried nor thought about it as my kit was designed to have the piping travel the way it does, so thats how I installed it. Theres always another way, and it really depends on your intercooler piping size.

Bored

I had to do something with my free time waiting for this kit. I just got (20) of these in today...

...and no, the sticker is not on crooked, it's an optical illusion, trust me!
