it might look alright since I have black rims. i guess we'll see. worst case I can repaint them. gunmetal would be a good choice. wish I had thought of that before lol

finally got the last caliper in and got it home to paint and i had a surprise waiting for me at the front door.
little box with a wavetrac logo.
I'm excited.
Crans, did you install it yourself? I'm thinking about doing both the clutch and this at the same time. that's reasonable right?

was that little box really heavy?
yeah you have to take the tranny out to replace the clutch, so why not split the tranny and install the diff...they are much heavier than they look aren't they?...can i see pics of the wavetrac unit? i'll show you mine if you show me yours...
make sure you drain the transmission first, LOL!

more bad news on the bad news train...
got rear ended last night by some yahoos in a miata. not too bad damage. lip- gone, bumper- meh, everything else so far looks alright. some foam fell out though so I think there might be more damage underneath. we'll see later today when i get an estimate.

i got mine for 995 shipped. not cheap, but pretty good. compared to RRM anyway.
i got an estimate for the damage to my bumper... 1700. In the itemized list of prices the lip alone was like 550 and the bumper was only 300. how does that work? almost double the price for the smaller piece :X and then like 800 for labor.
at least i dont have to pay for it. but damn.

as far as i can tell it mounts the same way as the front. not for sure though. i think i might actually take this opportunity to get the MR style bumper with the black middle piece. I've always liked how it looked.
