custom turbo project help
i got mine for 995 shipped. not cheap, but pretty good. compared to RRM anyway.
i got an estimate for the damage to my bumper... 1700. In the itemized list of prices the lip alone was like 550 and the bumper was only 300. how does that work? almost double the price for the smaller piece :X and then like 800 for labor.
at least i dont have to pay for it. but damn.

All just a guess, but that's also one of the reasons that I think about getting rid of my Sportback; especially since my wife has a tendency to use the bumpers on occasion.

got it all fixed, they found more damage underneath, crash beam, reinforcement bar and such. totaled up to 2800. looks nice though.
but i decided to go ahead and put on the dual piston calipers while i was already working on my car trying to figure out whats goin on with the engine. i ran into a little problem, when i installed em. i got ones from a 99 eclipse gsx because i read that they were a driect fit to ours, but there is one thing that needs to be customized. on the back side of the pistons where the brake line attaches to the caliper there are 2 prongs thare stick up im assuming to hold the brake line in place. but they're way to close together for our line to fit between them. i had to grind those off and angle the grind a little bit to accommodate for the attachment on our brake lines.
they stop really well. im not sure how much more stopping power they have over stock. but its definitely more form my butt's perspective. only one problem though. after installing them when i turn the wheels it sounds like something is grinding on the rotor in both sides. i've taken them back off and everything but still there. and also the brake like is on. i thought it was just low fluid light but it stayed on after i filled it up from bleeding them.
