it must defenitely be the magnaflow model. I have a street series, 14829. Last night the shop added a resonator and a high flow cat. the raspiness from the magnaflow is still there. On a 1-10 its about a 9. Turbo guys have it different cause the turbo soaks up all the noise. The RRM uses a BIG rectagular type resonator and then they add a tip. This is what makes the biggest difference as the street series resonators with tip are a straight through design and don't cut sound at all. I'll be selling my magnaflow....any offers. I'm gonna get a custom resonator and tip installed to cut the sound.

please bare with me, im pretty new to this stuff. i am looking to buy an exhaust for my 04 RA, i saw this post and checked out some other basic reviews of the RRM axel/downpipe and i was wondering if it would be fine to run as is with those 2 add ons, im really looking for the power gain over sound. and perhaps someone could explain the difference between axelback and catback for me please? thanks

axelback is only from the rear axle back section... and the catback is from where the cat is on ur downpipe near the front of the car.

I just installed my DP this weekend. I orederd it on thursday and it was at my door saturday afternoon. GOOD JOB RRM!!! I love those guys, im going to marry them. Seriously. Yeah, the DP is loud. Im still trying to decide if i like the sound. It kinda has a little spit to it around 2,500rpms but thats about it. It SCREAMS. I have a cat back with a Magnaflow tip.

Thanks for the props. 2.25 is just right if designed right. Bigger makes for torque losses that are hard to get back with other mods. Our DP really is the single best bolt on for the money that we have seen so far in our N/A- Ralliart R & D Program.
