BLK, I don't have mine installed yet but it's on its way. Once I get it on I'll dyno again. Should have results by next week.

Eric when you do your dynos, if you can do a run with the downpipe and no cat or resonator, and i'll pitch in some cash and do a run with a cat and resonator see how much it effects the gains. I'm going to get a down pipe but I'm not sure on what kind of setup I want to go with yet. But PM me and let me know if you wanted to do that.

Actually, my only options are a) do run with stock pipes and magnaflow muffler (current setup), or b) do run with full cat-back with resonator... since the exhaust I'm getting will have a resonator in it already. I could put the DP on, run it, and get a number. And then when I get my full cat-back run it again and see what the difference is.

No cat, no resonator would require some more piping for the test.

Also, my new exhaust will be 2.5' instead of the stock 2.25", so it wouldn't be an apples to apples comparrison.

as I said earlier, I have a high flow cat installed. Noise it cut down and its VERY acceptable. As for power, there was a slight drop. Maybe the noise fooled me, but it still feels screaming fast. Dyno is coming soon. High flow is worth the 80 bucks. I got a magnaflow. I don't have to worry about CEL and I'm not polluting as much. With no CAT I could really smell the exhaust fumes. Not ideal in my situation. So far so good.

do you have a resonator mojambo? If not was the noise drop tolerable when you put on just the cat. What kind of setup do you got 2.25 or 2.5?

Stock catback section has a rsonator in it. If that is not enough, there is room to install another one.

wiggle,
I have a 2.25 with a rectagular type resonator and a high flow cat. Resonator is 3x6x10 and has a fiber mesh. Its a custom piece.

Thanks mojambo, I think i'm prolly going to go with the setup you got and stick with 2.25, did you notice any loss in low end torque at all. That's what i was worried about most.

Question: is the DP compatible with a catback exhaust system? Or would there have to be some cutting involved?

If the catback is made to matchup with the stock downpipe, then it'll match up to RRM's downpipe.

wiggle,

I did not notice any loss is torque or HP. I notice more int the mid and top end. If anything we could deal with a little loss in of the line torque cause we just spin like a$$. ALso, I had my CAT added after the DP. I have a flange, then 3 inches of pipe then my CAT the a few more inches of pipe then my sensor, then a few more inches of pipe then my resonator. Thanks to the long straight section I was able to add all of it and keep the DP untouched. Kudos to RRM for making such nice work on the DP. My installer said no matter what he would not cut the DP to make the resonator and the CAT fit as it was too nice. He said it would be sacrilege.
