Cylinder Head project !!!
AND talking about ALLMOTOR, Hondas produce better # than Mitsus (in this Case Ralliarts)
Sorry if you are a HATER but you cant be allways like that!
You cant say, I will beat any honda on the street
You cant say Hondas dont run if they have the stock engine
BTW those are not handicapped versions, WHY? becase even when the Civic Si or Integra Type R or S200 are top of the line vercions, they still have less engine than the RA have (1.8 - 2.0 - 2.0/2.2)
a comparison of a RA with a Civic DX/EX or what ever, you know who will win, but those arent performance models, just cheap models so you dont have to spend too much on GAS, those are like Lancers ES/DE.
what would be a fair comparison for the RA? a cheap honda car?, a FIT? heheh
ok im over now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can we Forget about all this "I HATE HONDAS" crap? lets forget page 17
BACK TO THE TOPIC
So, any news? with your project?
Im looking for a RA cil.HEAD, do you know anyone selling one in PR?? i found a ENGINE for $700 (block and head, not manifold of anything else) but i only need the head so if you know anything let me know

The point of my comment was out of all the cars I see, and knowing what all those cost, the Hondas in as comparable price range suck nuts. you are getting into the realm of Integra, which whatever you like to think is not Honda. That's why it says Integra on it, because even Honda doesn't want you to call it a Honda. That's why they cost that much more too, because they have that many more creature features than a Honda. You show me ANY import that is as cheap and as fast as my car was, and I'll even give you a couple thousand dollars more to spend maybe less than 20k, and I will bow to your superior knowledge. I still bet it won't be a Honda.
just in case you didn't know your choices:
Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Honda S2000, Honda Ridgeline, Honda Odyssey, Honda ..., wait, is that it? Don't all those cost more than 20k? maybe not the dx...
I don't hate Hondas, but none of them are fast for the money.
I saw a cylinder head on car-parts.com in PR for 300
iirc.

I'm sure there are plenty of quick hondas out there, none of which I am at all interested in nearly as much as I am Migue's project. We all have the resources to be able to pull up the specs on any honda made as well, so please, lets just get back on topic.
Moving forward, I believe I've found a cheap cyl head here locally and I believe I'm going to start down this road as well.

it is at the other side of the island but for 350 less i think i will check on that
Migue, question for you regarding the cryogenics/ceramic treatment.
I realize that the ceramic coatings can be found through the link you provided. Did you have access to the cryogenic stuff at your work? If so, do you think it's at all possible to find a place locally to do that kinda stuff or would it likely need to be shipped off somewhere, if so, where would you suggest?
Second: What is your impression on HPC coating? Here in Utah we have a local facility I could run the head down to. Do you think it would at all be worth it, or just stick with the ceramic treatment....or both? Thanks again.

Guilty as charged! Some issues in the past kinda motivated me to go invis, I never switched back but I'll do it now. I found a cylinder head here right in town for $250.00 they are pulling it off the car as we speak, I'm quite excited, and with all the info you have provided here I don't know that I'll even have too many annoying questions!

yeah, I would say 350 is a pretty good price for an engine, even without manifolds. damn email I just received on the head was 300, 125 for the IM.
