I just installed mine today and I noticed a huge increase in low and top end. It also idles smoother and at lower rpm's. I'm in Arizona, so the climate is somewhat similar to what RRM has it pre-tuned for. I didn't solder the connections though, I just tee/spliced into it and it seems to be fine for my car so far. I just need to get an AFR gauge installed now. I'll keep running it through it's paces over the next few days and see if I lose any power, but for now, it's pretty amazing.

Fixed it!

ok i finally got it runnin good and omg its a whole new car haha! Thanks to everyone who gave input but honestly u guys prolly would have never guessed the problem. My aftermarket intake was an 1/8 inch wider in diamiter at the air flow sensor than stock...meaning that even though the air is comming in at the same speed theres still alot more of it. Which is why it looked like a terable tune to you guys and me. Once i swiched back to the stock airbox for the maf sensor it returned to perfect idle...not to mention it would smoke the tires off in a second lol. Since i work at a metal shop i might try to fint the right diamiter tube to make a new section in the cai and tig weld it in....but if not i can survive without one for a while. Never buy the ebay intakes! lmao and it wasnt my connections after all lol

I dont understand. Does this mean the only way the RRM piggy will work is if you have a stock airbox or your aftermarket intake is the same diameter as the stock airbox? That doesn't seem right.

this is true all around. the diameter for the airbox needs to be a certain size for the MAF to get the right readings. even if you dont have the RRM piggy you'll still have issues as the car will be receiving more/less air than its reading. i dont know exactly why it does but this isnt necessarily a problem with the piggy but the car's stock ECU itself

well if its not connections and your positive then i would look for airleaks on intake anywhere including breather tube. If theres still a problem take all mods off accept for piggy and start from it. That will narrow down your cause of the problem.

Is your car choking? Try to rev it over 4500.. If it rev limits on that area ... Its your mass air flow sensor..

exactly what do you mean by my mass air flow sensor? dirty? needs replacing? Rob thinks I may have a vaccum leak on one of my hoses....but if its mass airflow it be easier to work with....

Try out the symptoms first .. Check if it rev limits.. Does it die off when idling? Or chokes? Cuz if it does .. It is the sensor, again you have to consider you have a cai... So it may have provoked the inevitable.. Thats the only modification right? Do it step by step diagnostics.. Walk back to the mods you have replaced. .. There also might be air restrictions.. The mass air flow system is about 250 if it needs to be replaced .. so carefully check around

Clean the sensor first and see if it helps. It not then check for leaks anywhere.

The sensor is very sensitive id suggest you not to do it if you dont know how. Id bring the sensor to the dealer to get it checked.. Or get it to a shop if you feel that your dealer might screw you over..
